my xbox currently start without any video but just sound on my screens and no red light till now..
anyone knows where can i send to fix this problem and how much does it cost for the repair ?

did u check the av cable? What kind of cable r u using?

yup checked even tryed on my friend tv and cable the same problems no videos
using AV to HDMI cable played for 1 year and 5month without any problems last few days
can't just start up with any video

AV to HDMI cable? That doesn't make sense at all..

Are you using a converter of some sort?

By AV do you mean composite (yellow)?

Do u check the AV cable? so does Xbox set provide HDMI cable too?

possible the gpc died. The console will not detect dead GPu. Similar with pc troubleshooting.

I encountered this problem also.
You try to check your video cable head (near the console), it can switch to TV or HDTV. Try to play around it.

I just got back my console from 3ROD. Original video setting was 480p and the cable head was switched to HDTV. This causes no video output to my TV. I changed to "TV" mode, then can see the screen and adjust the setting accordingly.

Note: I'm using component cable

it happened to me yesterday..what i did....open up the console.....disconnect the fan..disconnect the video cable...and on it.....until it shows u 2 red light...and the power brick light in orange, then switch off it.....let it cool down for 15-20 minutes...and you're back on......

that's what happened to me yesterday though....

i have the exactly same situation before, no video but got sound, & no red lights (mine is old version console without HDMI port)
i ask my Singapore friend help me sent to M'soft & they replace a refurbish unit for me, cost : RM 0

oh yea, i have a problem it didnt do output to HDMI
I tried to reset the monitor setting by pressing Y and right trigger right after it start (or right after the boom sound), still didnt work

only component output works somehow and i have to play with 480i
