3.6ghz on a E8400 doesnt really need 1.3v.
plus ur on a stock cooler and u gotta remember that with increase in voltage it'll bring a rise in heat too. |

remember do not to set 'auto' in voltage or else it will jump at 1.5v
Enable Tm2 or u gonna miss ur proc sooner |

and if u using CM Sphere as stated at your siggy, this cooler was just a little bit better than the stock cooler only..
it will not allow u to OC much, + now the ambient temp is rising due to global warming.. |

i got a weird problem that is, i cannot use 12.5x multiplier with 240fsb to OC to 3.0Ghz.
when i do this, the system juz cannot past the post and reboot then default itself to 200fsb. but i can boot and running stable with 333Mhz fsb with 9.0x multiplier (3.0Ghz). it's so weird. then i go testing with 12.5x multiplier and an increment of 10Mhz which gives 210Mhz fsb which result in 2.6Ghz but same thing happen, cannot past the post and reboot itself, then default the fsb to 200. i didn't touch the voltage setting just letting it to be auto. why would this happen ? i even tried to download with original 12.5x multiplier with 150Mhz fsb but same thing doesn't past post and reboot itself. |

vcore high = higher temp, impossible solution. pls suggest something useful, dont spam keeting89....
Added on July 15, 2009, 11:35 pmdid ts just "jump" to 3.6 ghz? you should increase slowly until if find the most stable frequency. remember that higher voltage = higher temp. try change cooler. or only if possible, lower the vcore. some proc can run high frequency in a wide range of voltage, you dont have to increase till 1.30. Added on July 15, 2009, 11:36 pmif lower voltage is unstable at that frequency, that increase back the voltage and change to a better cooler This post has been edited by hiroki04030: Jul 15 2009, 11:36 PM |
