Do you guys remember Serene Adrianne?

user posted image

During our stay at the Furry Friends Farm today after delivering the equipments, we mingled around with the dogs while waiting for Sabrina. Serene Adrianne was the first one we were looking for, and we recognized her from the scars on her head.

Aww she's such a lovable doggie. Glad to know she's better off now smile.gif

BTW guys, I won't be going to FFF tomorrow, but my mother will still be bringing representatives of Petsmore there. They are donating dog food and some supplies (I will get more information on what tomorrow) to FFF. I have to stay at home and "jaga rumah" sweat.gif

Hi all,

I would like to update of our findings as i went FFF with A-D-Photographer yesterday as we sending in 3 wheelbarrows donated by panasonic88 sister, on behalf of FFF and SAD-Mission Team would like to record our appreciation for her generous contributions.

We went there around 3pm, and my first urge after dropping the wheelbarrows is to look for our adopted daughter, Serene Adrianne. She was placed with the batch of friends in the 1st compound. Immidiate after i identify her, i try to called her, in which she responded to me, but she doesnt want to come near me, even i were to given a bowl of food to her, seem like she still abit cautious after being rescued out earlier this week.

Sabrina was not around, as she bought some dogs to the vets... and i would like to inform readers here that HOPE, which was saved during early of the rescue was admitted to hospital due to suspect of influenza and at this moment, still awaiting the result of the blood samples. Let us pray that HOPE will be fine.

Sabrina n I had a teleconversation later, and she will update our team of our partnership mission later via mail.

Thanks

Adrian
SAD-Mission Team

Added on May 23, 2009, 4:57 pmbtw, to add in, since we had change our objective at the moment, would it be nice if we name our team as Save-A-Dog (SAD) Mission Team?

anyone could suggest here, we need a team name so that to identify us in the future

your suggestion is highly appreciated.

Today, circa 12+ p.m., my parents along with some representatives from Petsmore Giant Kota Damansara went to FFF. The reason was that they wanted to see FFF for themselves and also to donate some supplies after hearing about the plight of FFF. They have donated dog food and supplies such as shampoo and deworming medication I believe. I will get a more comprehensive list of what they have donated when I talk to the manager of Petsmore Giant Kota Damansara. It is also believed that they will also try to help out and volunteer at FFF whenever their off days falls on weekends smile.gif

BTW, my mother is planning to take Cash home, but didn't because Sabrina wasn't at FFF today. She was at the vet.

here are some updates from our asst leader, anne today:

1. Went with Pui Yee aka Kaven friends, and she help alot. Glad to hear that smile.gif

2. Pam aka Pummkin is looking for donations to get dog tags costing between rm6-8 each, with their name engraved on it. so we should help to drive to get tags for these dogs in FFF.

Ok, i humbly announce that i will donate 10 tags for the start, so team members, no forcing, if u wanna get a tag for a dog will do. if do not wish, its not a problem as well, but u can encourage your family, friends to chip in as well. We will start doing this from today 24/5 onwards till next saturday, and see how many tags we can collect.

I believe all of u guys have been read about the missing KUNING. Some said he hass been dog-napped. Someone tried to locate him at the other shelter home, but she can't find him because there's a few dogs look like KUNING.

Everybody is sad sad.gif

Is there any way we can help to find KUNING?

We haven't bought Cash home la tongue.gif My mother still debating whether or not she should- she don't want to feel like we're "betraying" our dog in Labuan.

I have a few friends who stay near Ampang area, and could probably assist in helping locate Kuning. Maybe I could forward them the pics of Kuning and have them have a lookout. Although with the online furor Kuning's disappearance is creating, I doubt that he would be where most of us think he is sad.gif

I'm pledging to donate dog tags as well, but haven't decided on how many yet. However, I am donating some for certain smile.gif

from my rough calculation,

FFF has 3 compounds,

1st compound - approx 20 dogs
2nd compound - approx 20 dogs
3rd compound - approx 30 dogs or more
freely walking around - approx 20 dogs

*3 compound = the place they prepare the rice & food

which means, total tags needed, roughly 100 tags +/-.

by the way, how does a "dog tag" looks like? unsure.gif

i am contributing cash $150 for the dog tags. adrian tai kor, next week baru sekali pass to you when we meet again.

I'll chip in for 10 tags as well for now. Just for a clearer understanding for myself and the rest - we're just collecting the funds needed to purchase and engrave the tags right? Or are we purchasing blank tags ourselves?

Hi Nicoty_yne, I was the one who went to the Society to look for Kuning yesterday and as I've mentioned to Pummkin, I can't identify Kuning from some of the other yellow dogs there. Bringing Panjang, or Er Win will be the best solution since they've spent a long time with Kuning and can easily identify him. BTW, is the scar on Kuning's body already healed because I don't recall seeing any scar on his body in Grace's video.

Also, better don't antagonize the Society people and the cyber-troopers too much on Kuning's disapperance - just assume everything happened because of misunderstanding. Using the word dog-napped is not going to help us locate Kuning any easier. Just be calm, everyone. OK?

Yukaeshi, ask your friends to be careful when they go over to the Society to look for him. Several of the Society people was trailing me when I walked around trying to look for Kuning. One rude old hag kept asking me, "What you doing here? What you want?" repeatedly even though I was playing with the puppies there.

thanks espanda90, panasonic88, chibi_tenko, Yukaeshi to chip in....

yes, this purely for the tags with the dogs name engrave, so the calculation is like RM6 for blank tags and RM8 for the tag engraved with names...

so this week, we try to collect as much as possible, though i rather would not like to dig into my / our own pockets for the tags, but heck, just small amounts.... just do it lorr.....

I will try to contact pummkin and let her know, then she will save some work for looking people to donate for the tags... estimate we need between RM800. 1k for the tags alone.

yes, team... i didnt get any response yet for our team name, as far anne had agreed and comment indeed its a nice name: SAD-Mission Team.

Let me know if any of u have something better.
