hello why LG gh22ns30 SATA has problem when you have two (2) sata HDD.

my windows kept hanging. I thought it was the antivirus. but it looks like its the DVDRW.
how do i fix this. do i need to configure the RAID. how do i do that? can you teach me?

FYI, i have formatted my PC several times in multiple OS's because I thought the problem was the OS or virus or trojon.
The OS's that I have been using that have this problem was Windows XP Pro SP 2, and Windows XP Pro SP 3 and Windows 7 Ultimate N. All have the same, the computer hangs and I need to reboot.

But the fishy thing was, when windows restart and i look at my computer, sometimes the DVDRW (the D: drive) appear. and sometimes it does not. Like biscuit "sometimes ada, sometimes tiada".
When DVDRW do appear, the computer hangs indefinitely after 2-3 minutes we logon to windows. I need to reboot when that happens.
But if the DVDRW does not appear, the hanging problem does not occur.

Can someone troubleshoot the problem for me. Is it the DVDRW LG GH22NS30 SATA a problem when we have 2 SATA HDD?
Or is the DVDRW is broken and need to be remove and replace with a new one?

I was thinking of buying an external DVDRW or perhaps a PATA (Parallel Advanced Technology Attachment) DVDRW to avoid the conflict of 3 SATAs devices.

Please advice. What would be the best solution.

I prefer not to waste money in investing on a new hardware. If that cannot be avoided, then I am pleased to hear any suggestion of what brand of DVDRW I need to purchase. I need a reliable and solid one. Preferably NOT an LG due to the bad experience I am having currently on this LG product.

P/S: I have search high and low on the Internet and it states that this DVDRW LG GH22NS30 SATA is having quite a problem on many PCs. Please advice a solution for this. If there isn't one then probably I need to search for a new optical disk drive (ODD).
