Both but the main idea is borrowing ^__^ Since everyone is complaining books are expensive, we swap la! Buy less but read more.

Can be either way la kot? Depending on the two parties. Kalau both parties okay with swapping terus, then let is stay at that la. Kalau swap to borrow, then lepas baca kasi balik.. tongue.gif

thanks Fey... i almost cried when u actually deleted me although i told you so. hah. tongue.gif

I believe swap means exchange lah, not borrow. if become good friends later and need to read/refer to that book then ask if can borrow Back for a while or not loh.
for me, no need to give it back to me lah. hah.
im in sabah, but occasionally visiting KL/Png and overseas, eg HK. Pls include me in the group of KL/Sabah, Fey, Thanks.

How about category of books? languages? area of interests so that when A is eying on B's booklist, B can ask if A has got certain books or not, etc.....

i have lots of chinese books to be given away, i might be able to find some HK comics from 80s too for collectors to sell or collections... I might as well take a pic instead of naming them one by one... when I have time tongue.gif Just keep me in the loop for time being pls, thanks all!

Anyone keen to take a peek at my WeRead, pls pm with your facebook: screen name or email registered for facebook.

I guess I'm the furthest away from anyone here tongue.gif
I would swap if anyone's nearby -- I got several 'Learn Japanese Language' books in my apartment.

Since I am unable to do so at the moment, I would go by just supporting this thread! thumbup.gif

SS> Nah I don't think we need to do so much categorising. Just compile a list and put them up in the List thread. And remember if the books aren't English, do says so.

I'll prefer temporary exchange because I sure as hell am not willing to give away my books! T^T (Unless if I really didn't like it)

Pheww I thought I was the only one feeling like that. Great!I'm in. I'll try to make a list of the books that I have. Most of my books are in my parents home instead of my current rent place

but the one that i have now is

1. James Clavell- Taipan
2. Judith Mcnaught-Something Wonderful,Paradise,Once and Always
3. Anchee Min- Empress Orchid
4. Barack Obama- The Audacity of Hope
5. J.D Robb- Naked in Death
6. Phillipa Gregory- The Constant Princess

And I definitely agree meeting once a month to swap books.

I'd swap any book you want for a copy of Rushdie's "The Satanic Verses". Even if I don't own the copy you want, I'd go and buy it from the bookshop to swap with you. Please PM me.
