I've played Myst and its numbers of sequels, including Riven to death years back, and I love them dearly. It has this atmospheric quality and ambience that draws you in to solve the mysteries happening in that world. So I would suggest to get the full effect of Myst, is to play them while you're relatively relaxed and free, not at the back of the bus or while waiting in line at the lunch counter. You'll lost the appeal of Myst that way.
That said, I'd love to get this, but revisiting Myst would mean me pretending to forget what the clues and plotlines are hoping to be ger the same feeling of suprise and wonderment of discovery when I first played it ages ago. I'm afraid I cant cheat myself out of this, it will come flooding back, and that feeling of discovery will be cheapen and lessen, just because I've played them to death before. I too am also running out of space on my iPhone and my iPod Touch to consider purchasing this, so as much as I love to get this, I'm giving this a skip.
Newcomers however, who had never been enthralled and have the pleasure of exploring the world of Myst, IT IS A MUST, at least once in your lifetime. It is like saying you have to have had played Doom or Wolfenstein before to appreciate FPSes before moving up the rung to the current FPSes now.
For vets, it may trigger fond nostalgia of your yesteryears playing it, but IMO, not enough, to pay the credit, or reserve that amount of storage memory requirement to justify it. Just my 2 pennies.
Myst for iphone/ipod Touch, Best game ever!
