Hello,
I am currently facing some problems on my guitar.. I have an epiphone LP 100, bought it january last year and was fine for about 1 year or less...
Now, there are some problems that really bugs me.
Everytime I bend, the strings totally go off(applies for G,B, High E, other 3 are fine).. Also, whenever I tune the strings, for those three strings, there is always a "tak" sound whenever the string is being tightened.. not too sure how to explain it.. when the "tak" sound comes out the tuning will overtighten a little.. As in usually the string will tighten slowly and uniformly, if the "tak" sound comes out, the tuning just jumps and becomes slightly tighter.
Don't know if its the tuners' problem, or maybe I re-stringed the guitar wrongly? or maybe intonation has problems?
I've been wanting to send the guitar for a setup but till now haven't done..
Anyone got any suggestions? or reasons why those problems happen..
Thanks.

The sound should be caused by an improper cut guitar nut. It will often cause tuning problems. Theyre seldom caused by tuners, so changing them might not bring any improvements. Solution? Get a setup job done, and highlighting ur tuning problems to him.

The "tak" sound is probably the sound of the string getting stuck in the nut and not being able to stretch smoothly, I think.
Regarding the strings going out of tune, make sure your strings aren't new, since new strings need some stretching before they can finally maintain pitch. And always tune up to pitch, not down. It may or may not help, though.
Oh, and really old strings can go out of tune easily too.

First, you can try new strings.
Second, you can remove the strings at the nut, lube it up with some 2b pencil. Yes, just "color" the nut slot with the 2B pencil. It works, at least in my experience.

Ah.. right.. And the string I am using are now roughly 2months+ old.. can't remember whens the last time I changed it. However, when I changed it, the strings could handle the bending.. at least for 2 weeks? and then the tuning problems came back.. =.= aight.. next time I'll try to colour it as dilin suggested.

You can google it up under "nut binding".
Good luck.

u also may not stringed the guitar properly, when installing new string make sure u pull the strings to get some tension before turning the pegs.

To me, I changed to Schaller tuners on my LP-100......... the tuners that came with the LP-100 is absolutely horrible before that.
