EMP is a quite new idea in 24. Previously IIRC, they used bomb or computer network attack to bring down CTU.

watching the katee sackhoff interview in the 24 website..she says something will happen to Dana in episode 16.
maybe nothing big,maybe something small. but the way she puts it "i kinda knew..what was going to happen up to episode 13..er..16. i didnt know how it was gonna happen,but i knew the outcome..." will she die?
