I'm using 6.5 with manila V2.1.
It's not as smooth as 6.1 but with manila V2.1 it's good enough for everyday use..
I've also tried 6.5 Leo with manila V2.5 and the outcome is quite slow..
So, I would recommend 6.5 with manila V2.1

How about Energy Photon Manila 2.1 build 21864 ? Did you try before?
Actually which ROM is most stable and fast for Winmo 6.5 ?

im currently using dutty finale..looks good for now but still testing for battery consumption and bugs

Normally how long the battery can last for HD? let say for original ROM..

I'm using Energy ROM now.. seems good so far.. just started this ROM few days ago.. more testing required

for those who PMed me asking for Warcraft 2 for WVGA, its done for u. it isnt the XDA version, which is unplayable and laggy, this one is perfectly fine and smooth.

There is no best rom just like there is no best handphone/pda or car. It is all actually up to you - what your needs are. Different people have different needs on their PDA - eg some are more concerned on browser or gaming or database or messaging etc . Juz download and test which one suits you best
Flashing takes about 10 mins only and within 15 mins you have a new rom ; so no harm and is not time consuming trying out

But NEVER try the Manila 2.5 as is still buggy and lagging ( actually the Manila 2.5 is developed for the htc HD2 which has a much faster processor ). Especially on SMS manila 2.5 is terribly slow , unbelievable laggy but there is a tweak to bypass the manila version and go back to original WM6.1 version
I have tried practically all the cooked roms and my preference is still Energy

AOE is not WVGA compatible

but hell, at LEAST now we got warcraft 2 mar, decent enough RTS. have u tried it?

ugh i missed AOE..nway,nvr tried warcraft 2 on my phone..issit in wvga? might shed some light here? i dloaded all the files from yr blog but..dunno what to do with it..there's no readme in the rar

guyz, i decided to keep my HD.. will maintain as the captain on this boat..

extract entire the Warcraft 2 WVGA folder into your pda. run the exe. all the other rar files dun touch. create short cut by placing the short cut in /windows/start menu/ programs using a file explorer.

Starcraft still very buggy, takes forever to start up and its extremely laggy especially with sounds T.T.

who know how to flash the ROM back to the stock ROM. my HD has problem ( the touchscreen is not responsive anymore). when i touch or press the screen nothing happen. i only can communicate with my touch HD through USB connection rite now. i need to send it back for warranty. or can give me the link where i can learn and follow the steps to do it. i try to search the XDA forum, but i couldnt find it.

i think flashing it back to stock rom area enuf rite? just go to htc site and dload the roms there

Before you flash back to original ROM, try a hard reset. It would most probably solve the problem. Original ROM is available at XDA Wiki Blackstone.

noob alert~ just wondering..can we customize the menu in winmo 6.5? i mean like create a new folder and move icons from other folder to that folder..issit possible cz i dont see any option to do it..

yes, you can.

use resco explorer.

go to windows>startmenu>

from here you can create new folder reasign all your apps into your fav folder.
