Have anyone tried the latest Radio 1.17.25.09? I can feel that my device is less heated up now, but the battery drain is some what insane. Before heading to bed it's at 100%, but the moment I woke up it's already at 39% in standby mode.... geez.

Guys...need some advise here, i got my HD last week and original runs on WM 6.1 and my friend help to flash the ROM to Duttys HD WM 6.5 Leo R5 WWE. After that the HD seems to be very unstable, keep on hanging and auto switch off. my friend's HD seems to be very stable running on the above Rom.Just wondering will it be software issue or more to hardware issue. Planning to flash it back to WM 6.1 original ans sent to SIS for diagnosis. Help needed. thanks. smile.gif

If your HD running fine in WM6.1, the chances of hardware issue is slim. You should ask your friend to flash the ROM again and hard reset twice after
flashing.

Dont install any 3rd party apps and play around with it. If it is still unstable, then flash back to wm6.1 original and send to SIS.

In my opinion, WM6.1 is faster and smoother than wm6.5 not to mention battery life is better. I have flashed so many rom (Davideuck, Dutty, Miri and kwbr)
and personal opinion, prefer wm6.1

Currently I'm using kwbr Topix HD Unleashed 3.0 (manila 2.1, hate manila 2.5, again personal opinion).

Cheers,

Danny

I'm using radio 1.17.25.09 more than 2 weeks. My battery life is ok, in fact I feel it's better. Moderate use (30 minutes call 3-4 times a day and more than 10 calls lasted around 5 minutes) can last me two days easily.

I switched from wm6.5 back to wm6.1 and boy, i dont have to charge my HTC HD daily. Currently I'm using kwbr Topix HD Unleashed 3.0 (wm6.1, manila 2.1).

Cheers,

Danny

4.3" to me is a bit big as well...well i'm not switching just yet, wait for Windows mobile 7 phones, hopefully with tegra chipset...

or maybe waiting for the official announcement for the rumored HTC Dragon, 1GHz with android OS and 480x800 resolution...this looks like a winner...

seems like those new ROM with Windows Mobile 6.5.x is a bit buggy...i wanted to try those ROM with the start button on the bottom but it seem very very buggy...guess have to wait bit longer...

But the battery life is shorter than HD .. weird ..

it has smaller battery dont mean it have shorted battery life,
HD have Up to 450 hours for GSM, and HD2 have Up to 490 hours for GSM for stanby time
hd have Up to 6 h 30 min GSM, and HD2 have Up to 6 h 20 min for GSM
well i know the figure is not accurate but still thre overall show that battery is more efficiently use in HD2 compare to HD

it has almost 2x more powerfull processor yet it use the smaller battery and have almost the same battery life spend.

dont forget HD2 have more hardware inside example: digital compass

HD is 115 x 62.8 x 12 mm and
HD2 is 120.5 x 67 x 11 mm and
Iphone is 115.5 x 62.1 x 12.3 mm
TG01 is 129 x 70 x 9.9 mm

HD 2 is just abit wider, bit longer but is smaller when compare in thickness

when compare in volume, HD is 86664 mm^3, HD2 88805 mm^3 and iphone is 88222 mm^3

is abit bigger but i think not until the point of 'too big', i have to agree with u.
is still smaller then TG01 yet it have bigger screen compare to TG01

that my point of view

(sorry i drag iphone in becos iphone has become the point of comparison of new phone, not that i'm a fan of iphone or so)
