As far Astro is concern giving the Boxes free is an investment, surely we will subscribe and that wld cost at least RM100 per month right !

Well said, but what choice do we have. It is a take it or leave it situation ! I bought by 34 inches toshiba HD ready TV in 2004 until now cannot test ! Maybe if delay further my tv also kong !! so Rm100 or Rm200 I must take HDTV !

In every package there will be a HD channel so that means we have to consider most of the packages to get more HD choice .That means the price maybe just RM20 or so for HD. In spore the whole six HBO HD pack is SDollars 25 and HD NG and Discovery is about Dollars 5 each. while ASN sports HD is dollars12. Astro uses the strategy of packing and repacking so ours should be cheaper. I feel it wont be a bomb end of the day. Just stand by to spend RM150 to get the thrill and fun first then slowly we can cut one by one bcos end of the day again we wld have nothing to watch all wld be repea ts !!!! !

Mine is Toshiba 100hz 34 Ctv bought at RM4000 and its ready for HD with component cable support for HDTV set up box . I was unable to put it to test since 2004 cos no HDTV! I think it wl work ok but it has to be seen. Perhaps some experts here can enlighten me on this thanx

Well said Astro is a suck company it can do wonders and make us fools with no choice. Look at the Asian versions of its channels all sucks ! Look at Disney now showing Upah Dan Ipin ! My god ! Never thought Disney would stoop this low ! Sad to say we have no choice take it or leave it ! It has full backing of the MMC ! Worst come to worst they wld say this is part of satelite broadcasting .They can just remove BBCE and give u Bio that talk ... channel, so you want take dont want pay RM10 downgrade your package ! Now take note that Astro has stopped giving you automated replies to your complaints.

I agree with you . Disney has lost its glory. We dont see Mickey classics we dont see disney classics anymore.We see Mr bean most of the time. Upah should have been in Playhouse Disney! Disney is an example to show what happens when you localise a channel. It was suppose to be a Teens English channel of class ! After 12 years I just decided to cut off Disney for good today cos I dont want to see Kluang Man and Usop Santarium making their debuts in Disney in the coming future.

From what I understand this code is used to detect unauthorised Astro signals from other decoders. The code comes every 30 minutes like a keygen and if you use other boxes to recieve Astro your signal wld be interupted.Correct me if i am wrong this is what I was informed.

Perfect ? What For ? No need bro ! Yesterday Astro was supported in the Parliment, check the Papers. Astro's fees was found to be reasonable ! So with so much govt backing its not neccessary to be perfectlah we just keep barking thats all, even with HD if Astro practices upscaling SD to HD what can we do.? Astro wld say they did not upscale they recieved upscaled content from providers !!

Looks like all old decorders wld be phased out, once hd box forever hd box !
