Aren't they gettin ahead of themselves here? We don't even have proper broadband penetration (only 24% acc to Star today) and at that only a maximum of 4Mbps. Therefore if rolled out it will only be to the select few in big cities, meaning a smaller market, meaning higher fees for the customer.
TM should be looking at improving their broadband service, which is their main concern, rather than dabbling into providing TV services. Streamyx is pretty shite now as it is, and they want to load it with more content? Get nationwide speeds up to at least 10Mbps and ONLY then think about IPTV. We are disappointed enough with Astro already, don't find us another punching bag.... |

how to dump it? They still provide good coverage of Barclays Premier League unfortunately. I mean I can watch it online thru p2p streaming applications (can we mention this here?), but at Streamyx speeds and instability, it's just not feasible.
So yeah stuck with them and my trusty old CRT. no point getting widescreen flat panel when only SD transmission coming thru. |
