Astro's CFO said yesterday that they plan to roll out HD service in Sept 2009, with main drivers to be sports and movies. He said they already have the decoder box but haven't decided on the pricing model yet. Likely they may give some kind of offer or priority for long-time/high-value Astro customers. Apparently the cost of the HD decoder box is actually lower than that of the SD decoder box.

bro...wut is that ? WRT610N....?????

The Linksys WRT610N is a router with 4-port Gigabit Ethernet switch, dual-band Wireless-N support (2.4GHz and 5GHz), USB Storage Link (ie, hook up a USB HDD as NAS), QoS and all the other usual features.

Now that Astro is going HD, I think I will have to upgrade both my projector and TV. Will wait until HD service starts before upgrading, as I hope to see prices fall a bit first.
