I think kbchong is asking out of these 2 - Plasma and LCD, which ONE will be better PQ?

Right now it's all speculative on how good the signal is? hmm.gif

Plasma tvs obviously as better and deeper black levels, better motion rendition and of course better viewing angles..Thus,plasma tvs trumps LCD or these so called LED tvs in PQ

Is that your personal opinion ?

Not really....i just quoted it from reliable sources.Besides, if u do your own research, u will find out that Plasma has better PQ than LCDs or LEDs.

Plasmas having better viewing angle and deeper blacks aren't something new you know

people still have perception that plasma have burn in problem, but almost all the plasma produce in the recent years have included technology to prevent burn in.

i think not for each channel la...maybe they got their own calculation...but, i think rm20 is a must if u want to subscribe hd astro no wonder 5 channel or just 1 or 2...
*
I'm not sure but RM20 for 5 channels is impossible because they are going to lose a lot of money

Fingers crossed* Hopdfully it won't be that expensive for us consumers >.<

transmission will be 16:9, but the content depends on the original movie, no? sometimes 1.85:1, 2.39:1
*
Yup....but the thing i'm wondering is that the original video will be upscaled to 1080i?Because there are a lot of lousy quality movies in HBO like the old movies

so ... now they've gone HD - and cheaply at that, it's time to whinge about other things like the code, aspect ratios and everything else

Exactly, i don't get why people are getting upset over such trivial issues
