that is the channel measat is carrying on their satelite, does not mean astro will have them on their HD broadcast.

measat and astro are different company, astro will use measat's latest satellite measat 3a located at the same orbit position at 91.5° east to broadcaast HDTV signal through Ku band transponders. SDTV will continue braadcasting through older measat 3.

those C-band HDTV channels I believed are feed.

2.39:1 is overkill, 16:9 would do fine for home tv !, unless you only watch 1080p bluray.

ok, lyngsat said measat 3a is located at 91.4°E , where do they get the wrong info?

DIY satelite ar?never heard that...cost will boom...if country made, malaysia have their own local made satelite....Razaksat, which have been launch in this year....
