Not everyone is suited to the Italian style, esp with the slow tempo. Agree that Milan did let go a lot of talent over the years, basically because they always like to retain the oldies which are very seasoned to the Serie A. So many has slipped through the Rossoneri's fingers, incl the likes of Vieira, Gourcuff, etc.

So long Carletos, thank for the memory and the 2CL..... QUOTE Milan To Announce Leonardo On Monday - Report GTGThe Rossoneri are set to clear things up early next week with regards to the coaching position... According to the Gazzetta dello Sport, Leonardo is the new Milan coach and will be announced on Monday, the day after the delicate and decisive clash against Fiorentina, while current boss Carlo Ancelotti will be joining Chelsea, as widely speculated in the past weeks. This means that the former Brazil star will move from behind the desk to the bench, with Mauro Tassotti being his assistant coach and Filippo Galli being offered the possibility of directing the youth sector. The Rossoneri are also flirting with the idea of adding a new member to the technical staff: the tactician. The chosen person would study the upcoming opponents extensively so that he could then report to Leonardo. Another change involves the medical sector, where Professor Meersemann will not follow the first team anymore following the advice of Leonardo to Adriano Galliani. Milan Lab will be modified under the structure and organisation profile, whereas Daniele Tognaccini will be confirmed as responsible for the physical preparation. GTG is there any rumors on big signing coming on? it seems that by the way they sell off our big names now, they are approaching to someone that's bigger and much more important on the upfront of CB area. i don't have any idea on the mysterious name. but it's would be either midfields with attacking capability or one that is strong enough like sammi to take over the centre back area |

guys, we dont really know how leanardo will do. dont forget, he doesnt have a BATCH. mean he is not LICENSED to coach in seira a. i think it will be just the way galliani said. tossiti will be the coach (official), but Leonardo pulling the strings.
im really scared tho, we dont know what leonardo can do, we never seen him coach other teams. this is really bad. we need someone experianced. van basten, or ex barca one (cant remember the name). but a noob might just destroy the team. |

Report: Leonardo Set To Replace Carlo Ancelotti At Milan
Speculation is rife in the peninsula that the Rossoneri will make Leonardo's appointment official on Monday... QUOTE Milan vice-president Adriano Galliani has made it clear that the club will disperse doubts over the future of coach Carlo Ancelotti on Monday, if the Rossoneri can clinch an automatic Champions League place with a win over Roma this afternoon. Ancelotti has been heavily linked with a move to Premier League giants Chelsea in recent weeks and, despite his reassurances during yesterday’s press conference that he has not been approached by the west London club since last summer, La Gazzetta dello Sport claims he has already made up his mind and so has the Milan hierarchy. Former Brazilian international Leonardo will take the reins, along with Filippo Galli and Mauro Tassotti, and they are already making plans to overhaul the squad. With the ex-Rossonero at the helm, his compatriot Kaka is expected to spurn a possible move to Real Madrid. The Diavoli are also said to still be considering a swoop for Roma centre-back Philippe Mexes, but Leonardo is also following Hamburg defender Alex Silva. As for the front line department, Emmanuel Adebayor is still top of the hit list, but Milan are also monitoring Wolfsburg revelation Edin Dzeko. Yoann Gourcuff could also return to base from Bordeaux, and finally be given the chance to prove his worth in Serie A. Vince Masiello, Goal.com |

New AC Milan Boss Leonardo Targets Essien And Adebayor - Report
QUOTE Leonardo has only been the new coach of Milan for a day, but the Brazilian has already highlighted some of the stars he wants to bring to the San Siro as the Rossoneri look to bounce back from a disappointing campaign. With Chelsea appointing Carlo Ancelotti as their coach, it is rumoured that he will bring some of his favourite Rossoneri players with him to London and Leonardo has asked that any potential deal see Michael Essien moving in the opposite direction, according to the Corriere dello Sport. The 26-year-old missed the first half of the season through injury, but was extremely influential upon his return, especially during Chelsea's Champions League run to the semi-finals. Meanwhile, Leonardo is reportedly also interested in acquiring Arsenal hitman Emmanuel Adebayor, who has frequently been linked with the Rossoneri over the past couple of years. The Togolese striker scored 15 goals in all competitions for the Gunners this season and is viewed as the idea man to add some strength to the Milan attack. The Serie A giants came in third place in Serie A this season and were knocked out in the early stages of the UEFA Cup and Coppa Italia, thus enduring a trophyless campaign. Adam Scime, Goal.com |

one thing i know. even if he wants essian, he cant sell off pirlo. as simple as that.
n honestly, we dont these EPL players with no real technique or talent, who depend soley on physical and fitness (yes, im talking about adebayour and essian). bring someone like xavi, ineasta, xabi, the list is long for people who can influence the game. |
