Look at all my stars!!
|
nothing is wrong with it. sometimes its desirable. its simply because the pickups have higher output.

Tumpang thread for a while, I have this kind of problem also. I've been to some jamming studios and when they provide tube amp, I encountered this feedback (unwanted screeching noise). The person ask me not to stay so near to the amp, but yet this doesnt do anything good. Only when I turn the the gain/volume down the feedback is gone, but then my guitar sound is not noticeable. Any reason for this?

It simply becoz the acoustic in the jamming room is not done properly. ..louder output coz higher rebounds from walls and hit the string, the guitar pickup pick back these signal and the amp send it out and rebounds come back and these cycle goes again and again..tat coz the hum.. mute the unplayed string will stop it, mute all the string when you are not playing..

this problem for me is due to high distortion and gain. just reduce the knob to the level which doesnt hum and also got distortion, not reducing the knob to zero. .. but anyway i use ns-2 noise suppressor and it does the job..juz my 2 cents

the real problem you have is your pickup need to be wax-pot, it happen to my guitar recently. our pickup have a wax coating around it's coil so that it can shield away any unwanted signal from outside source. due to a nature of a wax, it can "hilang" in time due to weather(Panas-sejuk-panas-cair!!) so our pickup need to be "wax-coated" again. this problem will happen to an old guitar...and also to a new cheap guitar...

QUOTE(edge85 @ May 4 2009, 03:15 PM) wax coating? ok bro, i'll see if i can do it myself. wow..wow...i suggest you dont do it yourself... it's really2 a professional job..heheh...or else it will turn to destroy it yourself as oppose to do it yourself ...find a repair person to fix it...why bcoz you cannot use an ordinary wav(ex..melting your candle) and it must have a certain temperature for the wax to "be good" or else it will destroy your pickup...i fix it at penang at a shop name art-tune, their technician is abang din, even man kidal fix his guitar at him...
