all sifus,

i have 2 questions here which i really need ur oppinions.

1) i have plans to buy a 50mm lens.. so i have looked around and found the SONY 50mm F1.4 n it costs RM1050.00. n someone suggested the Minolta 50mm F1.7 which is of a much lesser price RM500. i am not a professional photographer but photography has been my passion ever since i was small. Its my hobby actually.
so can anyone tell me exactly what is the difference between the 2 lenses other than the price range.

2) i have few lenses here and i don't really know why i bought it too... hahaha..maybe i was too excited playing with the lenses.. so can u suggest which lens should i let go to get a better lens.
my lenses:
a. the standard SONY SAL 18-70
b. tamron AF 55-200mm AF 1:4-5.6 Macro (my fav)
c. SIGMA 105mm 1:2.8D DG Macro
d. SONY 75-300 4.5-5.6
e. minolta AF Lens 28mm (i bought it from a lyn forumer few months back)

currently im using A700.

well, i am more into potrait and landscape shots. and the more reason i should get the 50mm right? so i should sell off my kit lens ya? it is still brand new, in a box..used not more than 5x...so what is the market price for it? still got warranty.

well, to be honest with u, my wide angle lens was stolen when my house was broken into last yr..yea be thinking to sell off some of my lenses..perhaps the kitlens and 75-300mm if the price is right. otherwise i might juz let it "sleep" in my dry cabinet.. hehehe

cos that;s the only lens left behind. the rest was with me. i forgotten abt it

Go to Studio Zaloon and place ur booking for the A700 VG from Mr. Chin. i got mine from him. Don't waste your time asking the Sony Centre..the answers all the same.."NO stock..Out of Stock". when i bought my VG there..the shop had 2 units only..within 10mins...another VG sold out. but according to Mr Chin he has ordered few units. So call him up.

yea...we did. hehehe..wat a small world.. hahaha..guys..this is the guy who bought the VG within 10 mins after i purchased mine..Hi again.

i got mine already!! 10 mins earlier than u...oo i didnt bring it down yesterday..it was in the car. i tested using the 50mm 1.4 lens alrdy....very nice indeed. im leaving for aus n nz next week, i hope to take nice pics there..

will sell off my Lowepro backpack soon. too heavy..

err..got model? this is the one where u put all the lenses and camera at the bottom. and have compartment that can put other stuff..and one more that can put the laptop.. its black and grey.

well..its the Lowepro Compudaypack model. still in good condition. my brother bought it for me..but too heavy for a lady to carry it around eventho its very convenient cos can put all my lenses with laptop as well. tot of letting it go at RM130.00.
