I did it before. it's not like the lecturer is going to know or they actually check through every reference that you use. sometimes I'm too lazy to come up with my own words tongue.gif

I think if its too cozy, I might get sleepy and doze off laugh.gif

My favorite place & timing of reading is when riding/travelling biggrin.gif

Believe it or not, the crowded, busy, cramp places like in trains, bus, planes, etc. is where I find it most convenient place to read as long as no one is bothering me nod.gif

Yeah I can never read on bed, I'll go right back to Sleep Kingdom!

And reading while travelling, before long you'll go either "O_O So fast reach already?!" or "Huh? Eh? Reached already?" *quickly bookmark and get out*

Ah, I wonder where is everybody...?

Anyways, SS, we do share reviews or what we think of the books in the various threads we already have. Just no specialized thread for reviews.. I dunno, should we start one? This was one of the discussion/points raised in the Improving Book Club thread, right?

I liked Sherlock Holmes a lot. Robert Downey and Jude Law played their roles very well and are definitely the highlights of the movie.

However, I have not read the books, so I don't know how they compare.

Narrating your own fights is truly an awesome thing to do.

I know this is liek.. weird, but wanna ask a lil'. Do any of you guys know anywhere I can get magazines for a cheap price (outdated ones, usually). I've seen a couple of Indian bookstores around selling older magazines (3months - few years old), but I'd like to widen my network.

i think there are two shops selling old magazines in amcorp mall. one on the Lower Ground floor, another one on second floor if i'm not mistaken. also there are another two shops in Sg Wang Plaza. one on the Ground or the first floor in front of the centre stairwell. another one on the same floor as the shop selling trance/dance cds.

Soseki's stories are kinda dark for me. Most of it I didn't understand. Hmph.

Gonna try Osamu Dazai's next. Thanks for the info.

!!!

Wow, that's surprising. I didn't think anyone would say Soseki's book to be dark. Which one have you seen?

Heh. I read Ten Nights of Dream and Hearing Things.

Both of them, in my opinion, contains good satirical content but I don't know, either I'm too shallow or the story is too dense. doh.gif

Oh, you could give Botchan, I am a cat or Sanshiro a try. They are pretty interesting.

hey, here's a good question - would you buy an out of print rare 1st edition hardcover or wait for the paperback? The hardcover costs RM100 , the paperback is potentially RM30. But it's rare, hard to find and you know it's the author's best work.

depends on the title. if like Harry Potter, i picked the hardcover version because i wont wait. but the others i just go for paperback, easier to read while lying down tongue.gif
