In addition to my Quantum of Solace crack, I went back and checked all my games and woolah, Disgaea 3 got crack already. I don't think I'm going to play my PS3 until I get the center ring sticker and a new box to store my CDs, not going to use the original box anymore.
One of the things that many forumers mentioned, which I also think it makes sense, is dont put the CD back to the box immediately after playing, better still, get those plastic casings which Jack Sparrow usually stores his CDs, or get something like what Oyama posted. Thats what I'll do at least |

What I do now is put the disc on the table for 10-20 seconds for it to cool off, once its cold, I now press the middle button and put the disc on it, usually I just press the disc down when its hot. Someone in this thread stated that a hot disc and pressing it down directly might be the cause, makes a lot of sense so I'm doing it for now.

After the disc faces a small crack, is it possible to safely play with extreme care without extending the damage? Or the crack will just continue to lengthen? If that's the case, the disc is as good as broken since we can play it anymore. If really so, anyway to prevent the crack?
