So, it is confirmed that the disc crack line is growing linearly with our playing time.
When the crack line reach the data area, i am pretty sure the disc wouldn't boot up anymore.
This is what happened to my KZ2 and RE5 disc.

why still keep the disc in hard casing........

Pls store all your new PS3 bluray disc into those soft plastic sleeves or get the ring protector.
If cracked, nothing much can do.

Just store the disc into Jack Sparrow Plastic Sleeve....will save u from the CRACK....

In our country, there is no proper consumer right to protect your purchase.
That is one of the reason why ppl still prefer Jonny Depp version here.

But, if our government has some consumer protection, they can force the SCE to exchange the faulty disc within 90 days of purchase.

For my case, my disc crack line extend more into the data area, if i keep on playing it.

Update: All my latest games that store in soft plastic sleeve don't crack anymore.

I bought another SF4 region 3 disc, and play through it for about 4 months....no cracking sign at all
So, i am pretty sure that the disc crack when we eject our disc and directly tore the disc back to the hard casing

Depend on how far the crack line extend.

If it crack into data area, then can say bye bye to the disc
