I would like to pose this question on the title above.
First of all, my situation is that I need to connect DVD player onto a PC LCD monitor.
Assuming there is compatible connection available on these two devices, eg. HDMI, or DVI, or even component input at the monitor, how is the image quality on that monitor itself?
Can the monitor display great quality images such as fullHD or HD Ready like in the regular LCD TV, if the DVD/BD player has the capacity?
I welcome anyone's comments in this issue. As I need to find it out for experimental reason. Thanks a million.

tested on my 19" dell LCD monitor (use gadmei lcd to rca converter box) PQ is good when i used with my normal dvd player. I noticed that the color is abit reddish compared to tv or lcd tv. As for HD/Full HD if the lcd monitor size is small , I believe there is not much difference.

How much is the cost and where you purchased it?

I bought it from the pc fair forgot the price..around RM150 .Anyway a lyn forummer is selling the whole range of these sort of products :- This is the product = Gadmei TV5600 Wireless LCD TV Box If you use wide screen Lcd, better chk whether it support it's resolution. The old revision support normal rectangular LCD only. http://forum.lowyat.net/index.php?showtopic=771828&hl=gadmei

Its weird that the gadmei can modify the color. Could it be the monitor's tuning instead?
But anyway, have you compare with watching movie on your monitor thru the cpu and direct from the DVD player?
Thanks.

i did not compare but i only tested my dvd to the lcd monitor. I'm not using the tv box anymore due to i bought a lcd tv. Maybe u just need to readjust the monitor settings if the colors are slighty off.

Hmmm, the price not very attractive. With Rm2++ I could just buy a dvdp with HDMI output and connect it to lcd monitor (provided the monitor has HDMI input)
Anyway it all lies within our own requirements. I just need to connect my dvdp to lcd.
