some vehicles come fitted with auto cool down. means the fan will continue running until the coolant temperature is about 60 celcius.

this depends, some fans will keep spinning even when the key is pulled out from the car.

so pls do this. when the engine is cold. (cold start - best is in the morning). put in the key into ur ignition and turn it to 'on'. DO NOT START UR CAR!.
does the fan still spin?

if so, u have a problem there.

if it IS still spinning, it cud be caused by a fault either at the engine side or the aircond side.

if u r at subang area, i can take a look at it for u if u like.

hey bro...no idea I am sure it is due to removal of thermostat and making a direct connection between fan and battery. This is done to make sure that engine remains cool at all times. I had done this before on my old wira as I used to face overheating problems. The only drawback is fan will kong in 3-4 years and you cannot keep keep the car in ignition mode for long i.e; you immediately need to start the engine to make sure battery is not discharged completely.

Anyway this happened to my car as well, happened to be an SV4 too. Turned out that the radiator hose leaked and there's almost no water inside. rclxub.gif It is still drivable as it only leak a little so i'm going to the workshop in a bit to fix it. ._.

Erm, fan running, but water pump not running to circulate the water, what's the point of having the fan running?
I know conti hv this kind of function. If it's running on electrical water pump, then i guess water pump should be running as well.

I know my aunts Renault Espace also have this weird habit.Switch off the engine but can still here the radiator fan spinning loudly for another 5 minutes.

It's normal la bro.....my RX8 after i rev it kaw-kaw at highway,when i stop the engine the fan runs about 10-20Mins wink.gif

U can just cut the wire and wire a manual switch using a relay to manually control the fan wink.gif
