Well, who wouldnt want to steal a shiny piece of equipment like that. Next time don't bring it out. Few of my friends got their notebook stolen infront of them at starbucks. Hope you dont have any valuable information on it or at least u backed it up. Be more careful next time people.

The whole point of a laptop is the portability to be able to use it anywhere right?
if you're not able to bring it out then what's the point in getting a laptop instead of desktop?

well my dear vickson, it is as good as gone.

I don't think cgcomputer or any apple store would care if they have gotten a stolen mac and resold it as 2nd hand.

On top of that report to police may not really help also, cos the value is still small. But you can make them aware that E-Gate has such incidence.

Good luck  smile.gif

sorry
you're wrong.

i worked in CG before, we always help customer to trace back the mac with best effort.
There was a case caught red handed before.

Dear All,

It is with great sorrow that we announce the loss of our Web Designer’s MacBook which was stolen yesterday (Tuesday), April 28th 2009 at Hongkie Kopitiam @ E-Gate, Penang.

It happened at night – 10.02pm to be exact – where someone from behind snatched the MacBook bag which he put on the floor right next to him, without him noticing since he was chatting with his friend then. When he did eventually realize that his MacBook was missing, he sought for help and saw the whole incident via CCTV.

The relevant information is as follows: White Apple MacBook, laptop Part No. MB061ZP/A and Serial No. W8730S60YA2. Following is the sample picture of the laptop.

If there is any info leading to the missing MacBook, please contact admin@exabytes.com. Exabytes is also offering a RM3000 reward if the laptop is returned in a good condition. We want to see if we can leverage the power of the Internet to help him. Please forward this email to you friends. Thank you.

Let's all learn from this very unfortunate occurrence. Please don't leave your personal belongings unsupervised anywhere, anytime.

For more details about this incident, please visit Exabytes blog at http://blog.exabytes.com.my/
I got this email from Exabytes. I/We will try our best to track this down. flex.gif

It's not only bout that, for example few cases from my friends. They just got their laptop snatched from them on the table how would u react
to a such a sudden reaction. And having get away cars stationed strategically, you just cant chase the culprit.

First time I see Exabytes use so much resource to help their staff find their laptop back using email blast. I received that email too and I think it's you.

Good luck to your finding.
