SLS nice  drool.gif

As much as previous Merc experiences have left me never wanting one again, I can't help but look at the SL with a twinge of desire, and now that the SLS is unveiled, I can't help but want one... It's a stunning and iconic car, it draws so much from the classic Gullwing but it looks so relevant.

Much better than this effort:

There's a newest white Ferrari California parked at Starbucks Mid Valley Megamall around 1pm+. Then changed to a red Ferrari 360 Modena at 4pm+  sweat.gif
*
IIRC there's only one white w/ black interior here, and it was the launch unveiling one, and a couple of weeks ago it had a cracked windscreen which they had to replace with one flown in from Italy.

1.9m, full spec with luggage in nero, too.

Christian Audigier needs to be kept far, far away from cars and airbrushes for the rest of his natural life. And clothes, too, so we won't have that many popped-collar tattoo-shirted douchebags running around anymore.

How come the roadtax cosst tat much ?

Company road tax.
Personal is half that.

Edit to add that car is about as exotic as my left big toenail, considering the base car is a 645i.

cayman where got so expensive... about 600-700k ny wat..
just doublechecked out of curiousity, Cayman costs 556k and Cayman S 668k...
*
Confirm, cos 1.2m is nearly Turbo/GT3 territory.
Also, Cayman S PDK is damn fun around Sepang circuit (except for the stupid steering shift buttons... they're inverted!)

You see millionaires being driven in top of the line Mercedes/BMW, but never a Phantom. We can, but that's how expensive that thing is.  tongue.gif
*
Exactly, anything can be bought if you have enough money, be it a Phantom or your very own F1 car. However, the tax structure we have in this country means that the excise duty on a Phantom would be enough for a top-of-the-line 7-er or S-class, AS WELL AS a nice lil Ferrari, with change to spare.

Millionaires are mostly business people, and it doesn't make business sense to put that much $ into a RR when a number of similarly impressive vehicles can be bought with that same money. For royalty and those lucky enough to have a tax-free ticket, it's far more reasonable. Still, it doesn't mean it can't be bought by anyone, and it doesn't mean it's a royalty-exclusive thing.

I also thought that, only sultans can own them but I saw a new maroon coloured Phantom being driven in Penang. So I think it's not true but I wonder how much is it?  drool.gif
*
I saw a maroon Phantom in Northport, fresh off boat, about 5-6 weeks ago. Seeing as how there are barely a handful of Phantoms in this country, and undoubtedly not more than 1 maroon one, it probably is the same car.

Also, saw a black Maybach with trade plates going up Jln Ampang during rush hour today.

I want to learn how to Google like that, seeing as how this thread now isn't only for own shots.

Also, since I like this thread I am also considering posting up Googled pics of the world's most exotically ugly car. But in a short while, everytime I see that mitsuoka I throw up a little bit in my mouth.

The car belongs to a retired British guy who stays in Malaysia under the Malaysia Second Home programme. Brought that beauty from UK without paying the tax.

Won't be seeing the car for a while though, it broke down during the race and is now on the way to Singapore for servicing.
*
I'd say that is a late'07/ early'08 manual? Do you happen to know why it broke down?

The car couldn't move forward or backwards, due to some mechanical failure. They didn't know for sure yesterday - it broke down when I was about to leave, so I couldn't stay to get the details.
There was an Aston Martin specialist from Singapore (he came on Friday afternoon, because they also had some problems during the practice) and he diagnosed the car yesterday, but couldn't say what was the exact problem.

Flying Doctor was in KL? Ah crap... I take it he's probably gone back by now.

You can get those anywhere, regardless of whether you have anything to do with the force or not.
So many cars have those tacky stickers on their windscreens, from Wiras and Kancils to high-end vehicles.
*
Yeah it's basically to scare the newbie polis who don't know any better into saluting when you drive by. Confirm works better in a Bentley than, say, a Kancil.

where is the location of Novitec Rosso's ? nearby Jalan Ampang Hilir and next to Egypt Embassy ?

I found those cars nearby my House in jalan Ampang Hilir

QUOTE(anType @ Oct 15 2009, 11:28 PM)
If you feel so desperate to discuss the owner and his house address, can you at least do so in private messages to each other? It's never a good idea to share address in public forums. I understand that it might be interesting to know the location of nice cars, but don't reveal private house addresses... It might attract stalkers and all the wrong people. Next time I'll think twice before posting pictures from owner's house... because I feel partially responsible for all the subsequent discussions.
