my A with 780 chipset really a lot " problem"... cnt lowering vCORE, vCORE oni hv 3 step with each 50mV, no NBfreq multi in BIOS..   but so far dunid RMA with this prob la,,,  

jk jk.. RMA is due to dmg of board? due to OC or wat? if due to careless on OC that will not be the board fault, if the user prob...

IF the case happen not cause by OC or careless, if coz by new board but cnt use,,, that will be board prob..

biostar? for me, so far i nvr use it, but always got some positive comment of it... cheap + good

i would recommended 790GX instead of 780g chipset..

My friend ask me to setup a nice C2Q or C2D Pc, but after i do some research i found AMD had overcome their heat problem which btw is the only reason why I didn't choose AMD before.

So here's the deal. I'm not asking for budget and all. Since I'm new to AMD procs and Mobos, can I ask sifus here to suggest me which proc is the best bang for buck right now and the best mobo that can made overclocking easier.

Also, what is the best Mobo for Overclocking?(doesn't need to be the most expensive one)
I can aim for the highest proc but that's not the point, I prefer PhenomII X4 series procs but which one of them you guys suggest me to buy if I'm planning to Overclock?

Before I go deep about overclocking can anybody tell me, is it very hard to OC AMD procs considering the fact that I do know a little about Overclocking intel's platform and I found its easy for mild OCing. So I'm trying to compare both intel and AMD's difficulty in OCing.

Sorry guys, I know it's a lot to ask from you guys, but I think you guys have better experience.

Btw, this PC will be used for Gaming only

Bottlenecks always happen it's a matter of how much.

I'm not sure about 3DMark06, but I'm quite sure that 7750 does not bottleneck 9800gt too much.

I see from urs spec that u already OC to 3GHz with 1.325V vore...
Is it stable at that voltage??? Did u test with Prime or Orthos?
mine at 3.12GHz with 1.4V core and stable at that voltage... I think quite high but i read
from overclocker forum.. they use 15.5X and HT 205 with 1.5V core and only get 3.17Ghz..

Yes u can just save the setting in the profile so that everytime the pc start it would auto o/c it back according to ur profile..

Hmmmm this could be the culprit of me not having a good o/c..

yup2.on my ta790gx 128
i fail to place my nb8 cooler,so use the stock hs and place a 80mm fan on it.. so even 1.4,it hardly get 40c...
80mm is stick to the nb hs, and another cm90cfm at the side panel,also helps the cooling.

y just dont use ccc? and last time i use rivatuner,i cant set the profile.and atitools nvr work for me.. if i want to clock higher then ccc limit,just use rbe...bios flash it...easier for me..

what i can remember is using the nvidia software, under the performance tab,there will be auto tune..u can choose to tune gpu only...then u good to go *this method only works with me for last time..i dont know about new latest software.
