but rite now just using setting like htt250x14 2500mhz for nb and ram speed @ 1000mhz only....

RAM: Kingston HyperX 1800 Tri Channel kit ( use 2 sticks only)
Mobo: MSI 790FX GD70
GC: Sapphire HD4830 X2 CrossFire
Hardisk: Patriot WARP V2 Solid state Disk 32GB X2 RAID 0
PSU: Gigabyte ODIN Pro 800W



First attempt, All stock settings, single card
3dMark06 scores 11881 3dmarks.


later on, slot in another card and CF enabled. All default settings
3dmark06 scores 17188 3dmarks.


The score seems a bit too low, start oc the cpu
At stock vcore, oc to 3.7GHz, memory ratio set to 1:4. Memory sub timings TRC set to 26.The rest remains default.
3dmark06 scores 18958 3dmarks. Looks better


Now vcore pump to 1.4v, clockspeed drag to 3.8GHz, GPU clock oc to 650MHz.
3dmark06 scores 19703 3dmarks. Close to 20k barrier now.


Used the onboard oc knot to top up 3 HTT, GPU oc to 670MHz. Overriding 20k barrier


1.4v@ 3.9GHz is not stable enough to pass 3dmark06.
Hence i only have super pi 1M result here


I know, some are waiting for 4GHz result, here you go
4GHz@ 1.41v Super Pi 1M completed.


Will play with DICE or LN2 overclocking tomorrow if everything goes smoothly

Complain a bit here,
the SB750 has poor RAID 0 performance
2x SSD RAID 0 only produce reading speed at 100MB/s (No ss)

and WTH design such stupid software?
You need to enter User name & Password in order to use AMD RAIDXPERT
AMD should send the developer to hell

very nice bench there bro, bout d 4.0GHz barrier, perhaps lower multi can help? denebs for sure is fun to play with eh?

i lost my faith in d raid 0 performance ever since d sb600 days, sb750 aint offerin much improvement, thou oc wise it is more helpful, w d acc it makes attempts in oc easier.

I don't see any difference, and did i mention 4GHz is a barrier?

what i meant was d stability issue w/ high multi such as 20x bro. i found that it's quite hard to go for d extra miles when high multi is in use.

It is because,when you unlock the 4th core,making its stable is not an easy job.Its crippled..
AMD is not good on RAID.Their performance bad compared to Intel.
I still wonder when AMD is focusing on their RAID..

depend on how gud is d weaker core & whether it's on ddr2 or ddr3 platform. x720 be tends to do better on latter platform.

If I don't want to D, any other board have almost the same performance but cheaper than D? Asus C2?

crosshair 2 is a gud board, but hot chipset + less support (less user) makin it not an ideal choice. either go D easier way or a$u$ m3/m4a, which i think not worth d moolah if ur not gonna pair 'em w/ high end chips. d dilemma is am3 chips perform better on ddr3 platform (many case show that they use less volt on ddr3 boards compared to ddr2 boards), so if ur gettin a high end am3 chip why not pair it w/ ddr3 board then instead of runnin 'em on premium ddr2 boards. i'd say it's a tough call...

wonder y my ta790gx 128 cant go above 275mhz coreclock...
even increase vcore,low dimm seting,ht lowerd, all doesnt work...
can help sifu.... especially u xiukeong...used the mobo before right...
even the "t series" before post screen become rosak2..like many noise... like gc hang..

No money now. If can, I get "D" 790gx enough for me. I'm not extreme oc'er...

Got enable ACC? If no, set it to auto and u good to go

what chip ur runnin on that 790gx board? if d "coreclock" is referrin to htt u can try to increase d parameter in cpu configuration under t-series page (iirc). larger numbers mean higher htt oc is allowed.

is on board gfx is in use as well?

well if d diff is big enuf, by all mean go for gx & save some $$$. but in sgp, d diff between dfi 790gx & 790fx is just a $4, so unless u want a matx board else there's no reason not gettin d fx.
