Maybe apple didn't include in it anymore cause you can't restore to 3.0.1 for 3GS anymore.

nah,thats what i guessed..but need to confirm with you guys since my lil bro accidently upgraded the firmware and i havent backup ecid yet...arghhhh!!!!
