I have a question regarding jailbreaking.

Currently, my iPhone's firmware is 3.0.1.7A400.

I've downloaded the same version of IPSW 3.0.1.7A400. When select the corresponding IPSW in redsn0w, there was an error message

"Unable to recognize specified IPSW"

Anyone can assist me?

Oh, I should download IPSW 3.0 and point it in redsn0w instead of 3.0.1. Problem solved.

Finally, I managed to jailbreak my iPhone in one attempt.

You need to point IPSW 3.0 instead of 3.0.1 in redsn0w. If I remember it correctly, you just need to rename the .zip to .ipsw if you're downloaded in zip format.

Right now I have a problem with my jailbroken iPhone 3gs. It seems I'm no longer being able to use cellular data (3g)

I have switched off the Wifi, toggled on 3G services in phone settings but it's still not working.

Anyone here was having same problem and managed to find the solution?

The problem is he's already flashed his iPhone to OS 3.1

Pwnage tool only allow jailbreak for user who is already jailbroken iPhone OS 3.0.1 and stay with the jailbroken firmware prior updating to 3.1
