I've just jailbroken my iPhone 3G 16GB a few days ago, from firmware 3.0 to 3.1.2. using Pwnage-made ipsw that was given to me.[Cant remember the url atm]

At first, all seems well. Today, my phone app and contacts app dont work. Basically, upon touch, they open but the phone was blank (no visual of the currently selected tab), similar to Contacts (no list of names). They stay open for 1-2 seconds and immediately crashed back to springboard.

As to the cause, i couldn't pinpoint anything. For contacts i've ssh back the sqlite.db from 3.0 over to this 3.1.2 to preserve the old names, likewise as in SMS which shows no problem.

Does anybody know as to what the cause might be?
Do i have to restore using new made-from-scratch pwnage ipsw?
Or must i downgrade to 3.0 and get 3.0.1 - 3.1 first?

Any help / guide would be very much appreciated.....

tried that..didnt work apparently, so
restore? downgrade jb? baseband downgrade?
a fresh restore without winterboard?
hmm...

nvm, problem solved.
sqlite.db that i transfer from fw 3.0 is not compatible on my 3.1.2.
after deletion, my phone and contacts are okayy.

winterboard and other jb apps are working fine on 3.1.2

cscheat, ask any macheads to provide custom ipsw..
or you can google them..some websites do provide activated custom 3.1.2 ipsw
