Tried jailbreaking my iphone 3g-s and got stuck at 2nd reboot, using Win XP and redsnow 0.8. Appreciate some help. Thanks

Sorry for being a noob, didn't know abt purplerain (as in that Prince song).
Care to let me know which page of this thread it resides on so I can get it, rather than sifting thru' page by page bro, tiring.

re-do the whole jailbreaking process. you might have missed out on certain steps. both redsn0w or purplera1n will work on 3GS.

user-preference. both use the vulnerability and will yield the same result but some users commented that it's much easier & faster to jailbreak via purplera1n.

purplera1n is faster n easier but has little..very very little unpatched kernels...and with ultrasn0w is best of both worlds...complete package...

hi guys.. I just JB my 3gs.. After everything complete, i found that there is no network coverage now on my phone ...

btw , i'm using itunes 8.2.1.6

what should i do to get my network signal back ?

read up properly. you must first enable iTunes to support Carrier Bundle.

Thanks for the advice bro, decided to go with purplera1n and its much easier. Jailbroke my iphone 3G - S 16gb white already. thumbup.gif

y u want to restore to firmware 3.0..... isn't your i3gs come with firmware 3.0

ok... if u still want to restore u got to download latest itune..... and when u hit restore itune will download latest firmware 3.0.1. no more firmware 3.0.
u can manually download d firmware 3.0 ipsw from d 1st page. and manually restore thru itune (shift + restore)
