buti cant find that app dowloand from app store 1, i save in categories folder 1...
i reinstall aptbackup, winterboard n categories but no icon on my springboard...

b4 upgrade it save in categories folder 1....
now how to find it out ?

i face the same problem when i upgrade to i3GS. when i was using i3g , i put most of my games apps in a folder.
then when i got my i3gs i just restore from the backup from i3G and all d app previously in folder didn't show up
no matter how u sync it..
so my solution was. when finish restore or upgrade firmware, there is a screen asking you whether to restore your iphone from backup or treat as new iphone...... so i treat it as new iphone...problem solve..

and if u need to restore from backup..... then before u backup u got to unfolder all those app.

this is " i forgot to uncategorize the apps (remove from folders) b4 upgrading the FW" syndrome? yeah, maybe you have to restore it as a new phone..

Not sure if anyone tried, but i noticed that after JB my iPhone 3g OS3.0, i cant tether internet to my laptop anymore. it no longer shows under my network. Is this normal for a JB iPhone?
P.S. i used redsn0w 0.8.

Jailbreaking is different from unlocking.
For windows, redsn0w does the jb-ing. Ultrasn0w unlocks the phone.

Hi. the front page is kinda confusing. Do iphone 3G with 3.0 software can be jailbreak already or not? using redsn0w ? anybody tried jailbreaking their 3.0 software already? pls advice

Confusing? Really? It's so simple and easy to read when we have hundreds of ppl reading the guide etc and got their iPhone JBed. Just follow the guide and you'll be fine.

any alternative to download the ipsw ? Downloaded once from the link here and its corrupted.. file size is also big and takes time to download. anyone can suggest somewhere else to dl ? i want the 3.0 for iphone2g

Could be a network problem that caused the corruption. Do try again, it's been working well for us.

download straight from itunes also can.... its really fast... (as from my office connection lah...)

bro, you can do it on your own. Just spend some time reading the guide and all you need is your PC, iTunes, the downloaded firmware, redsn0w, your iPhone and a cable, and about 45 minutes.
