My gf uses a Maxis 3GS sync with Macbook, and she wants me to help her JB her phone after she saw mine has so many nice themes.. Just wondering, must I JB her phone using her Macbook or could I just use my PC to do it for her? Cause BlackRain can JB the phone in like 1 minute? whilst Pwnagetool takes quite sometime...

there r ony 2 processes running while i check sbsetting -phone and mail....essential for me, so i dont know what to kill to make it faster

guys....curious question....

is any download from Blackra1n or cydia tracked/recorded in Cellular network data usage??

i m using this "iPhone1,2_3.0_7A341_Restore",because the redsnow only can run this firmware.

So far the stuff I have downloaded, shows on the data usage but there are people who say that some things don't get recorded(but I have not seen em yet)

Download blackrain Mac version from GeoHot website. It is already available for some time.

finally after 3days i sucessfully jailbreak my friend iphone2g to 3.1.2 using pwnage 3.1.4 on macbook pro

now still having the problems dat occurs before upgrading .
it only can send sms , received sms and only received call .
I CANT CALL OUT !
why ? hmmmm still trying to figured out the problem with it .
i already tried different sim card . the signal kick in nicely with full bar of reception . but i cant call out ..
weird .
anyone got ideas for dis do reply dis thanks .
tonite after work gonna figure out a way to fix this .

try to reset the network setting [setting > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings]....or u can make a fresh restore and try again

You cant call out? It is weird mate. I used PwnageTool on mine, and it works like

a charm, and completely flawless i must say Why don't you troubleshoot, and tell

us the result. One thing you could do is to reset the network settings, or perform a full

network reset.

Uhh that wasn't what we were talking about.. dinozilla was asking, if when we use cydia to d/l stuff via 3G network (of course) if it will show in the usage meters, as there are claims that it doesn't, but so far for me, everything has showed.

We are on the same page bro. What ever u download with data network will be recorded. Never heard of data network usage that is free.

righstarting firmware 3.1 my phone always/mostly calls drop, or 1st call failed then 2nd call only success. anyone has the same problem? im thinking is this something to do with the JBreaking.

same as me.. something need to turn off or wat only can call success.. i was wondering y such thing happen..
