For those who without a official unlock set iPhone 3G or having problem JB with blackra1n, or without a mac and want to upgrade to 3.1.2 and unlock, this is a custom ipsw i build with mac, already JB cydia added and will reserved baseband 4.26.08. Just install by itunes holding shift and click restore and select the ipsw. After everything is done, just install ultrasnow through cydia for locked set. This ipsw only for iPhone 3G, since the unlock method 3.1.2 for windows is no yet out

Go ahead with blackrain if you are official unlocked set. Or else u will not be able to activate your sim because blackrain does not unlock your phone. Do not use blackrain If u are not official set.

mine is unlocked singtel set, used window+ blackrain to unlocked.. easy~~ ^^

Hi guys, i got my iphone 3gs from maxis and out of the box, its os 3.1, wanna know :
1. Should i upgrade to 3.1.2 firmware through itunes and then jailbreak it using BlackRa1n? or i can straight away jailbreak in os 3.1?

2. If i download BlackRa1n RC2 means i can install ICY as well? Cause they said its unstable in RC1

3. Can i jailbreak using BlackRa1n in windows vista?

there have been problem among the users by using vista...but u can try it first...if can't, u can used windows xp sp3 to get job done...just update to 3.1.2 and JB using blackra1n RC2....geohot has been busy looking for an exploit and he has found an overflow in it...so hopefully that is the exploit that he need to unveil the unlock method....and for those want to have carrier logo again just download carrier logo fix in cydia...it works for me. simple and working....for those who love to used makeitmine with variety of carrier logo(standart) u can search using ifile or iphonebrowser or ifunbox or winscp[ system>Library>carrier bundles>Unknown.bundle] those png are working perfectly in makeitmine....u also can put custom carrier logo in it...without using ipcc files

You can do a search in YouTube. By now there are plenty of tip and tricks on jb using vista.

so i've jailbroken my i3gs using blackra1n. only installed winterboard and sbsettings. after 1 day exploring, i think jb makes my phone abit bulky, by bulky i mean just like a computer with too many data, i feel abit slower when open setting page, sometimes it freezes for a second, its not as smooth as before anymore. and most importantly, i got disconnected from maxis once every 10 minutes(not included the time i left the phone alone). now im thinking to restore my iphone, tho i really like winterboard themes and sbsettings

u want to JB ur 3.0 FW right? 2g 3g or 3gs

just keep the theme that u only wanted....
and try refresh using refresh button on sb setting

but a bit weird since i also JB and got loads of themes, but my i3gs is still running smooth....

same with me here....although i have mobilesubstrate used in couple off sofware that u installed...but it still smooth and fast response. u can try to kill process in the sbsetting, u can regain more memory though. but its your choice.... ...as long u are happy with ur phone...that is enough

problem: can see my celcom with fullbar but iphone still say unsupported simcard, i tried calling other phone using the emergency call, it can call out and even receive sms, but still showing the connect to itunes screen

model: iphone 2g JB and unlock using redsn0w with vista previously

my network usage data actually not changing....

is it access via cydia is not recorded?

my iphone is 3g boss.

Pls check u use the correct fw. 3g Fw should start with iphone1_2. 3gs fw should start with iPhone2_1
