Juz now my iphone suddenly show "No sim card installed", i have to take out simcard and put it in again only can get service.. ~.~ what happen actualy....?

officially unlocked or locked unit?

locked set i think, this apple given by my brother last month and i accidently restore everything and updated to latest baseband to 02.30.03.. today morning only i make it to latest version 3 and use ultrasnow so it finaly can work..

(So touch because i got this apple almost 3 weeks, today finaly can make 1st call!)

but juz now when i reject a call from 1 colleague, then not longer i try to call again it show call failed.. then only i realise my maxis service is gone and it show no sim. Then i take out simcard and put it back and back to normal now..

I wonder what is the problems..

i'm trying not be sarcastic here, but given the fact that users here have paid a fortune for an officially unlocked set, surely you cannot expect your locked unit to perform as well as theirs right?

how long will it take to reboot the iphone on redsn0w?
bcz mine is running for 30minutes already
and when im jailbreaking my iphone 3g.
which sim should i use?
the o2 sim or my hotlink sim?
my phone is UK model.

finally got the update sorted out. love the features. thanks for the help guys.

i have problem with mms function..before i restore back my sms there have camera logo beside my typing sms for mms...but after i restore there no function for mms..how i need to do?

It should be not more than 15 minute. Infact i jailbreak it with in 5 minute all completed. I have the issue like u so i know. If your is official unlocked then u can put in ANY sim you like. Else put back the one you buy the phone from.




This not for you. I THINK Mod should put in the jailbreak thread where redsnow "waiting for reboot" should not more than 15minute, if waited that long means something is wrong and need redo.

I am not sure about pawnage though.

i doing like this..updated os3.0 and do restore from itune 8.2
then use redsnow0.72 and browse the o.s3.0 then do thejal break
after than i do all the steps for the dfu...
it jump to a page for "waiting to reboot
and it stuck for more than 10 minutes...
so i off my phone and on again...but it still the same...and i redo from step 1 to last step also cannot...succesful jailbreak...

hi, i think iphone is one of the cutest phone, but, in the end of the day, we can classify mobile phones into three:

1) Windows based
2) Linux based
3) Mac based

any other comment?

One simple question, after restoring my iphone using redsnow, which should i choose?

1)Set as a new iphone or
2)Restore from backup?

Can really tell me the difference? SOrry for this easy question

if u choose 1, then u'll set it up as a new phone, u wun get ur contacts, msgs, logs n all tat...
if u restore, then u'll get back da state of da phone as it was... as if nothing changed...
for me every major update, setup as new, in between, restore works fine..

But I have sync everything using my older version of itunes, if i set as new phone, can it still sync back my contacts, msgs to it after that?

yea.....finally i getting successful with 3.0 jb ...
i just download the apple 3.0 firware and retry..it works...

cos i am using maxis cd 3.0 firware..b4 to jb,it couldnt not jb....@@
