Hello people!

It's me again! This time around we are going to Ampang to pay a visit to this special home, Persatuan Penjagaan Kanak-kanak Terencat Akal Johor Bahru (Selangor Centre). The centre accommodates almost 155 children with age-range that varies from 3 years to 51 years old. Most of the residents are mentally disabled, meaning, they are unable to take care of themselves. Apart from mental deficiency, there are also cases such as Down Syndrome, Spastic, Cerebral Palsy, Hyperactive and Autism. They also have abuse cases and normal cases where the mothers are psychiatric patients and therefore unable to care for the children.

We will be having a lovely lunch session with the special children on 31st May 2009, Sunday @ 12pm. Then of course we are going to spend some precious time with them, of course I will post up a few articles regarding about down syndrome, spastic, cerebral palsy and so on for all of you to understand them better.

Well, if you are free on that day, why not come to have some fun with us? I'm very sure this will be a very interesting trip, it definitely a memorable one in your life. Come let's put some smiles on their faces again!

Sorry for being away, was really busy and having a lot to do at the moment.

Well, this time around the home visit will be slightly different, I wish that volunteers can have more precious time with the people there, of course all volunteers and all people.

Soon I will conduct a meeting about it to finalize things out as soon as possible. Anyhow, I will put up information about mentaly retarded patients soon after I get my laptop back, as now it's still with the technician for repair, all my informations are there, so sad

there will be no activities such as any type of games but you will be having lunch session with them and also spend some time to talk to the people. More than 80% of them having difficulty in communication with people, thus it will be better for us to spend some quality time to talk to them, and care for them.

as for photographer, i can't be expecting 1 photographer for the entire day, it will be better if we have at least 2 or may be 3, so they can take turn to take photos, then they have time to rest and also interact wit hthe people there too.

As for meet up point, verx will update on that.

Dear people,

I'm so thankful to all of you who helped out for the event, who contributed and supported for this event. It was a short and small one but definitely a great one. I could see the sparkling eyes and sweetest smiles in the home from the residents. Yes, no doubt some of them are unable to communicate but they do observe us, I'm so glad to see them happy and all the kind hearted people out there spread the love to everyone.

I'm not sure will it be the last time we meet each other, unknown if any of you will be able to fork out some time from your busy schedule to join for the next event again, but I'm sure I had a great and memorable moment with all of you even though this was the first time we met (for some of the members). Of course not to forget my senior members who are so great been doing so much for all charity events. Don't worry, even some of you weren't able to make it for this time around, there are always the next time. I'm thankful for all supports and really appreciate that very much.

I hope to have fun with all of you again, surely I love that most. Again, a big thank you to all of you. So, now please rest and enjoy your weekend! =)

Anyhow,that's to protect their privacy. It's not right to publish their photo around n letting some ppl finger point at them saying they r mentally retarded ppl, even to orphans or old folks, unless you've got the permission from them but it's still not something right to do

All pictures will only b send out by me, so u do not need to disturb the photographers, let them to sort out the pictures, all the copies will b with me. If u want, msg me n i will get back to u once everything done edited and so on.
