Dear members,

We had our first meeting for PPKKTAJ event on 19th May 2009 @ Leo's cafe in ss2.
Below are some of the notes taken down for those who did not manage to make it.

1. Food and drinks
Will be handled by Steve and me.

2. Transportation and meet up point
We will be having three meet up points in Cheras, Bukit Jalil and Ampang before all finally meeting up at Ampang Jaya.
Person in charge to meet up and guidance in getting to the place will be Vig.

3. Activities
There will be no activity going on as the condition of the residents over there. We will be spending some time with the residents there. Sherly wishes to get some feedback from the members too after the event to see what else we can do for them.

4. Volunteers
So far only 11 confirmed attending for this particular event, need more.

5. Photographer
Nigel, Vig and still need one more. If Brian is able to make it, then it will be his job.

Just a little extra update here, once Verx post up the meet up point, we will be meeting up at that particular location at 11.30am.

I will try to get the volunteers list out in this few days so that there will be extra update again.

n just a suggestion.. can u make the meeting point at LRT station? as we wil b takin public transport to that area.

we are from bandar utama by the way.

bsides that, u guys need anymore stuff? i can get it from tesco on friday.

there will be no activities such as any type of games but you will be having lunch session with them and also spend some time to talk to the people. More than 80% of them having difficulty in communication with people, thus it will be better for us to spend some quality time to talk to them, and care for them.

as for photographer, i can't be expecting 1 photographer for the entire day, it will be better if we have at least 2 or may be 3, so they can take turn to take photos, then they have time to rest and also interact wit hthe people there too.

As for meet up point, verx will update on that.

The meet up point at Ampang Point will be for those that have their own transports but do not know the way to Taman Perwira Dua. I will be waiting at the main road facing the entrance of the shopping complex (McD side). There is a lack of landmarks in that area so that is the best location I can come up with.

As for your case since you're taking public transport we will arrange for someone to pick you up to go straight to the home. The nearest LRT station is the Ampang station (Star LRT)

sherly, what time this event will be finished ?

i want to join , but 11am i gotta attend wedding reception. plan to just take the free food and go. hehehe.
