Try editing your Profiles:

1. Click on SOUNDS
2. Scroll Down to EDIT PROFILES
3. Choose whichever you use & hit the BlackBerry button, then EDIT
4. You can edit all your various notifications there, Phone, SMS, BBM, etc.

Hope this is something that will work, but if you've done this, there may be some other problems.
