Guys, I just went through some t/shooting with Celcom (BB Prepaid) in regards to BIS activation issue / subscription to BB Service with my BB Storm 9530 and this might be useful as a reference so I thought I might just share it.
As a conclusion, my model's BB Service is not supported by Celcom.
In the event that you get the common error code "your device does not currently have any browser configuration service book entries" when trying to connect to the Internet and/or when trying to use BB Services, even though you have successfully subscribed to the Celcom Prepaid BB service (both RM 1 and RM 2.50) - verify if your phone is supported by our Malaysian telco / BB carrier or not. To do that:
1. Go to BB Menu > Options > Advanced Options > SIM Card
2. You will see the ID of your SIM card (there won't be other options)
Ok, here's the interesting part.
3. Bring up the Keyboard menu (for Storm) by pressing BB Menu > Show Keyboard
4.Type " MEPD " (without the ", it won't show anything until MEPD is fully typed)
5. A hidden menu that says PERSONALIZATION will appear, it will show
SIM
Network
Network Subset
Service Provider
Corporate
6. If the status shows as belows, it means that your BB phone's BIS is not supported by the telco
SIM: Disabled
Network: Inactive
Network Subset: Disabled
Service Provider: Disabled
Corporate: Disabled
I'm not sure how useful this is, but my 2 hours spent trying to work the BIS out on my BB ultimately led to this discovery - so I'm sharing this in case if anyone ever comes across the same situation.
Still, the conclusion is = my BB Storm (9530) is unable to use BIS service here in Malaysia.
My conclusion is = I'm going to sell the phone since I have no use for it without BIS services.

Cheers.
Added on March 20, 2010, 8:55 pmdya_ungu .. refer to my post under this thread. We might be facing the same situation.
In case if your BB is unable to support BIS in Malaysia, call 1111 and request for a refund of the RM 2.50.

Cheers.
