This is the 5th installment of Sino Local DotA LAN Party. The lucky winners of previous 4 competition have their time at Sino-Net, there's even players who already won 4 times at SLLP and enjoy free play at Sino-Net for 2 years.

The tournament it's open to all Selangor participants, furthermore winner will get sponsor by Sino-Net to attend all major DotA tournaments held in Malaysia.

Will the players continue to obtain their "Mega Kill" streak or will there be new faces that is strong enough to end their "dominating" streak. It all happens at May 2009, come and witness the battle and the winner that will walk away with total of RM27,000 of free gaming credit.

Game Version : v6.59d or the latest bug free version
Competition Method : 5 vs 5
Game Mode : Captain Mode
Structure : Single Elimination, Top 4 qualifiers are Winner/Loser Bracket
Fixture : Random Draw, no seedings
Match Length : Until a winner is decided
Match Winner : The team that completely destroys the opponent’s Ancient or if the opponent Team surrenders
*Only open for Selangor Citizens. Teams require at least 4 Selangor Citizens to participate.
*Organiser reserve the right to make changes or modify rules and any of the above. Changes will be inform to the participants before the tournament commerce.

1st Runner Up: RM9,000 Worth of Sino Game Play Credit + 6 months DotA Team Sponsorship

*Gameplay credit will be provided in the method of Five(5) Sino-net member ID with RM600/RM300 tops up per month respectively.
*Gameplay credit are not to be sold, transferred by any means. In the event of violation of this section, Sino reserve the right to void the prizes.

We want to let the players who really need the credit to come and compete, not those who just want to come and win and forget about the credit. It's a waste to give out the credit to them.

Moreover we're at Selangor, 80% of the gamers from local CyberCafe are from Selangor. Of cause except those cybercafe which is nearby to College.

If you want to compete for Sino's tournament you would need to wait for the Grand Tournament.

Hey, when is the deadline for the registration?


I might want to join but I have to confirm with my team members first.

No deadline but only maximum of 16 slots.

Now we have 7 paid and 8 reserved team. Teams who reserved their slot, I would advise you all to make payment as soon as possible.

Priority will be give to teams who made payment for the registration fee.

If we received more teams then the teams that made payment will replace those who haven't pay.

Typical Malaysian culture, if free stuff then even though they don't need they will also just grab. Don't just blindly reserve your team before confirming whether you guys are joining or not.
Not joining also didn't inform organizer, only wait until organizer contacted you only said not going. Please be responsible for your action or Malaysia's gaming community won't improve and grow.

COD4 players looking down on DotA, I do admit COD4 players and community are much well organized but I look the gaming community as a whole. No racist between dota players, cs players or cod4 players.

This is the Local LAN Party twice a year. As title stated is for locals only.

We also organized the Grand DotA Tournament yearly which give out the biggest prize pool among cybercafes tournament and is opened to all including Singapore's team.

We organized different competition to cope the needs for all gamers.

They are the local team not the Fishnet or Espada u know.

I'm glad to announce that all slots has been taken up. Registration is closed and the fixture will be posted by this week.

Give a round of applause to the DotA Community. First time seeing all teams able to make payment and confirm their slot 2 weeks before the competition. Keep it up like that and we foresee that our gaming community will become better in near future.

Register early not only make the organizer work easier. It also allowed participants to know their schedule and their opponent before the tournament day. This way teams can study their opponent and plan more strategy.

Team Cybertime (formerly known as Espada) came in as the hot favourites to win this tournament. Being recently picked up by Cybertime to continue their great line of teams wearing that tag, this new team is raring to go to prove their worth.

The best replays of the tournament will come from the 2 games they faced vs MNG. Ks' Sakura and the old Sino group will show that experience do matter and pushed Cybertime to the limits of their skills.

The WB final would become a contest on who can drop opponent's raxes faster. With POTM from MNG unsuccessfully tried to backdoor a few times, the untouchable Axe played by Winter will be the key in Cybertime's victory. Singlehandedly tanking all damages by MNG taking down the raxes of MNG 1 by 1 ending a great game that lasted more than 1 hour.

The Grand Final would see another great show from both teams. Where experience and youth collides in some of the best battles produced lately. However, a Roshaning attempt by MNG was detected by a Zeus Wrath around the 50 min mark. Unable to stop the Roshaning progress as they were "almost there", MNG set themselves out to a chain of events that enabled Cybertime to break the deadlock and effectively sealed the game in less than 5 mins later.

Kudos to Sakura and co for playing 2 tournaments at 1 weekend, bringing us some great replays. Congratulations to the newly formed Cybertime team for holding their nerve and taking their first win.

Thanks for the summary. It's good to see so many teams joined the tournament and also attracted a lot of spectators.

We'll see how DotA scene goes during this few months and hopefully can convince Sino to host the Grand DotA Tournament 2009. Last year we only manage to attract 16 teams compare to year 2007 which we had 64 teams, maybe most team was afraid of KingSurf.
