I'm doing something to pimp my 3 years lappy...Compaq Presario V5000 Laptop..




First let's start with the speaker grill. Compaq is so lame because my speaker grill already rusted a bit after 2 month use it and now it become like this..
That time don't have guts to disassemble the laptop...



Decided to spray it with the black metallic spray...Voila





Next mod
palm rest area become "haus" oledi and the paint fade off a bit...Buy some carbon fibre pattern stickers at Brothers. Cost me RM12...

My previous mod..the sticker colour fade off..1.5 years.

Opened the laptop keyboard for more easier to cut and measuring


Clean cut this time..better than previous works..My cutting skills improved

Did you brush off the rust before spray looks nice overall congrats. Wished of the speaker grill was white....

i put it in the vinegar for 10 minutes and sanding it with sandpaper+warm water+dish soap

just wondering, do you leave some of the CF sticker to cover the edge or just clean cuts?

the sticker i bought last time is not sticky enough and if i do clean cut the edge will come off

You just make it rectangle to leave the edge. Then, take lighter to burn it a bit but do slowly if not it will melt.
