QUOTE(HL Milk @ Apr 27 2009, 02:10 AM) Unless you can design a cooling system that use some of the heat and dump the rest to make it a more efficient cooling system. QUOTE(weiyap_tan @ Apr 27 2009, 02:11 AM) that's it...one of the goal in my life...as an engineer...come out with a way to solve this prob...either to reduce the heat produced...or used the heat for something else usefull long copper heat pipe straight into water kettle .. can boil water to make TT

QUOTE(mav910623 @ Apr 27 2009, 02:09 AM) Heat is a product of energy flow n change .. u want to change it .. change physics .. or just become extremely efficient engineering is about optimizing, balance the performance and efficiency. More performance need more power, like car, you burn more fuels, you get more performance, but there are other side effects will follows.

Well, people will just ignore the problems that is still minor and search for solution when it goes major, say like limiting the advancement of the chips

QUOTE(mav910623 @ Apr 27 2009, 02:12 AM) long copper heat pipe straight into water kettle .. can boil water to make TT In order to boil water by the copper heat pipes, you need the GPU or CPU to run at 100C to boil it, that's conduction. The moment you get your hot water, you fried your GPU or CPU liao.

but then hor... Intel say they got a composite material, that is much better than High-K that they are using now... they claim can lower TDP of current CPU by 90%... imagine 13W Core i7...
