QUOTE(astria @ Apr 26 2009, 11:53 PM) iirc, CUDA is only avaliable for Windows for development, thus i ve the doubts... even Folding@Home also dun ve GPU client for Linux... that's true, nvidia driver on linux still not as up-todate as in windows. but video decoder sure gotwe can see significant temp rise during HD video playback.

QUOTE(astria @ Apr 26 2009, 11:56 PM) u sure it's GPU at work??? wat's the CPU usage when u play HD videos with the opengl to accelerate...? cpu usage for my t7500 on usual setup without selecting the opengl is aorund 60% for playback, 30% for using the opengl

btw, u need to be using nvidia driver later then 180.06 version to have the gpu functioning during intensive video playback

QUOTE(mav910623 @ Apr 27 2009, 12:03 AM) Its an app or wad .. running my XP now .. BTW 3rd party bootloaders others than GRUB can use with UBUNTU? Added on April 27, 2009, 12:04 amLol .. now that is a proper benchmarking tool.. should make it as the standardized method to compare openCL is just like Opengl, it's computer language use for specific purpose. i still recommend grub loader, since it comes with ubuntu, u can use others but i am not sure abt the stability
