@doubleU ..yup 512 mb ram...now running ubuntu 8.10 perfectly , still can play HD video summore...take note..it doesnot have dedicated gpu, use on board de.

that's true, nvidia driver on linux still not as up-todate as in windows. but video decoder sure gotwe can see significant temp rise during HD video playback.

cpu usage for my t7500 on usual setup without selecting the opengl is aorund 60% for playback, 30% for using the opengl

btw, u need to be using nvidia driver later then 180.06 version to have the gpu functioning during intensive video playback

openCL is just like Opengl, it's computer language use for specific purpose.

i still recommend grub loader, since it comes with ubuntu, u can use others but i am not sure abt the stability
