If you manage to reach the take off speed with light weight, you might be able to achieve that. You can try to use physics to calculate it. tongue.gif

i think the PhysX killed all the fps...

afterall, Radeon dun support PhysX... so it's totally unfair if u really use it as benchmark...

I also like to use GPU to accelerate H.264, both ATI and Nvidia is capable of doing it. I've tested it on HD4850 (desktop) and 8600GS (laptop), both can reduce the processor load a lot. Some 1080p video i got, even Core 2 Duo also can be lagging during playback time, but once I switched it to GPU hardware accelerate, it become smooth playback. But my S41 temperature will shoot to 85C when doing that.

Badaboom is a good companion for my sister Ipod Touch, it can convert all the HD movie to Ipod playable format at a shorter time compare to CPU. For example, 1.5hrs movie can be converted in 45mins, and i can still watch other HD video with VLC player. Of course the temperature will go to 85C like that. tongue.gif

Any recommendation for external bluray drive for S41 ah? Hopefully affordable price, around RM400
Since this laptop got HDMI and can hardware accelerate HD video, it will be good for a external to be pair with it, right?
Hope got guru here to give some comment on it.

Now discussing with another seller, but his location is too far from KL, at Penang. I hope the person from PJ can reply my PM with a favourable reply.

Office 2007 is kinda good to use after you familiarized yourself, it took me one week to feel comfortable with it, I also got this problem with it at first due to new interface, but I think Microsoft do spend some effort to make it as easy to use as possible, but the learning curve may scared Office 2003 user away.

When I want to go to shop for printing, I always convert the document to pdf format to avoid any change of format at the document, it's kinda annoying when you found out at the shop PC and do adjustment. If got long queue, it'll be worse, you'll get some people starring at you and give you one kind of du lan face, hehe...

Utorrent can reach Thunder download speed one, it require some tweaks here and there, we must remember it has been bought over by MPAA, so the default settings will not yield good download speed. I can reach full speed of my Streamyx package.

So we all aim for V6 this week? This will be fun man, we manage to out gun a lot of other thread with this kind of speed, we BenQ user can talk anything here and don't flame other user even it's not related to the thread. Yeah! Banzai! lol

well, that's wat a forum is for rit?? sharing info with one another...

else only talk abt out laptops, very fast run out of topics one...
*
Yup this is a thread for BenQ Performance user to share the information they like, it's like a club. If we all only talk about laptop, even we discuss until the level of every screw, we will run out of topic very fast. We are a group that help out BenQ user and enjoy our own discussion here, all are welcome to join. No flaming other user like fanboys.

benq lappie are really very nice.... my s41 is gonna be 2 years old in 2 more months time.... still like it like no other lappie out there.

The s57 is really a tempting lappie and i may upgrade to one later.
*
Correct I still can play new game at playable frame rates. I'm not planning to go for laptop more than 14 inch, it's not portable already. But S57 specs is nice, I'm a bit ATI fans, hehe... but not fanboys that flame others. tongue.gif

My S41 just finish 1 year old birthday, can't dump it so fast, some more still student, need more vitamin M. I prefer to limit my laptop size, waiting for future S series from BenQ. I wonder what they will surprise me. rclxms.gif

Added on April 29, 2009, 2:49 pmOh ya, did you all use hardware accelerate movie at S41 and experience BSOD before? I got twice, and the movie has to be 2 hours long, suspecting possible overheat.
