Dear all,

Wana look for a romantic restaurant to celebrate my bf birthday in july, although still a long way to go. But,i want to plan it earlier, to make it perfect. Any suggestion? Would like some romantic restaurant. And any suggestion for what should i buy for him? We have been together for 5 years. Anything special? I bought him tie, wallet, perfume, clothes, hand made strap book. necklace before. Already no more ideas what should i buy for him already.

Why not for dis bday make sumthing diff n special for him
How bout u cook for him instead go to romantic restaurant which is too common
If wan more special mayb u can learn bake ur own bday cake for ur beloved hubby ^^

You can get him one of those toy cars. I'm not talking about the micromachines one. There are these model cars which go for around 60 bucks upwards. Get him some BMW model. (Check out Toys R' Us)

Write a card somewhere along the lines of "This is just a reflection of what's to come!" and put it with the toy car. Box it up and wrap it.
Get one of your hottie girlfriends to work with you.

Take leave on that day. When hes at work, hand deliver a card to the reception, tell reception to forward it to him. In that card, give him instructions to a restaurant of your choice. Pick a relatively quiet place.
Specify time.

Because you're on leave you can go slightly earlier. Pre-order the food and make sure the waiter knows that he only prepares the food upon your signal to him. You've known him 5 years, you should know what he likes and dislikes by now.

When he arrives, make sure he is comfortable. From under the table, miss call or send an SMS to your hottie friend who is across to room dining (Yeah you probably have to pay for her food tongue.gif)
She'll walk across now, put the box with the car inside, peck him on his cheeks and say "Happy Birthday" and walk off.

Signal the waiter, wait for meal.

What do you mean 'nothing to buy'? Depends on how kinky you are. There is always the option of getting a pair of undies that says "Best eaten before 8"

Guys are simple minded. They really are. I'll illustrate for you.

This is how I experience women buying clothes. They ask "Between dress A or B which one looks better?" After getting an answer, they decide to "Look in another shop first"

At shop B "Which dress is better, C or D?" When given, then they compare back to A&B pair (previous shop)
This goes on until all the boutiques are exhausted from the mall to which then they go back to the first shop.

Guys? Walk into the nearest shop. "I want 4 long sleeve shirts for work"
Pick 4 long sleeve shirts from the same hangar rack, different color pay and done.

ya gals is very choosy... But sometimes guys are choosy too.
Like my bf,when go to buy cloth he will go to shop a to see, and ask suggestions from me.When i say A he will say nice ar??? Cause im working in Design field,so prefer bright color. So end up i give up, and wait him to choose himself..

You realize that Luna bar is more of a relax-type bar? I wouldn't recommend going there for food. It is really expensive food. You can go to Luna after your dinner. It's not too noisy and not overly crowded. Their seat arrangement is good to for small groups and couples to just chill out and relax.

I don't think guy will expect his gf to buy any luxury thing for him. (we can buy on our own) Most important thing is how you treat him.

Man satisfaction to girl is very simply, just two thing, present good food & you arrived na*ed. That will be a great moment for him.

You realize that Luna bar is more of a relax-type bar? I wouldn't recommend going there for food. It is really expensive food. You can go to Luna after your dinner. It's not too noisy and not overly crowded. Their seat arrangement is good to for small groups and couples to just chill out and relax.

i went to luna bar before 10 and it was quite a quiet place, as long as u dun go when it's crowded? hangout, right, the bar. but i feel for couples to dine, the sofa seats are quite good. that's what i observe when i was there. smile.gif

of course i don't expect the food to be 100% good, but i like the environment, so yeah. wink.gif

erm.. no offense here though but you do realize that the TS pointed out that she want look for a nice romantic restaurant to celebrate her bf birthday and another thing is that TS didnt state the budget for the dinner. And so yeah no harm suggesting Luna Bar although the price is at the higher range but undeniable that Luna Bar has really romantic and nice environment especially with the lights all dim and stuff and bundle with the seats arrangement and the night view. It's a marvelous place to dine with your love one. so you shouldnt be so harsh on the comment regarding on Luna Bar.

The comment was harsh? Was that how you interpreted it? Perhaps I came across wrongly, for that I apologize. When I said "The food at Lunar Bar is really expensive" what I did was to compare similar food dishes with fine dining restaurants. That is how I came to that conclusion. I had a friend whom ordered pizza.

Firstly it was more expensive than say, Italliannes (well maybe about the same price because Italliannese is quite pricey)
BUT point two is that the portion of it was small!

I don't know about you, but I view Luna bar as a place to hang out, relax and talk with your friends or significant other over the drink of your choice. I wouldn't go there specifically to eat. That's like driving a tractor in a F1 circuit!

So in conclusion, I agree with your statement about the lights, environment, night view, the music and all that - but I suppose we disagree on the purpose of going there perhaps?

Whatever present from you he also happy one, so since you all been together so long d no point getting those shirt or tie or necklace or ring. Just cook with him and maybe watch a movie at home thn do something special that make him happy lo. (But if you not ready to give him then forget what i said)

the Italian restaurant at the Gardens is pretty nice. Italianies I think is the name.

Or u can try the revolving restaurant at KL tower. Nice view, quiet and dim environment, food not spectacular though (buffet or ala carte comes up to the same thing so go with ala carte)

I've tried cooking a romantic dinner for my ex-gf a long time ago (when she was still my gf) and it was ok only lah... maybe because it was maggi mee but I still brought out the candles and played nice music ok!
