QUOTE(igmroey @ Aug 7 2009, 10:16 PM) Hey.... I used the K-stat. For me, I do it in P-State tab instead of Debug tab.The original voltage at P-stage is 1.1250 volt I just undervolt to 1.1250 . Then i enable the clock function. Then i go to debug, and i click Refresh. The CPU voltage show 0.9 Volt. how come suddenly so low ? er.... I got CPU-Z but, how do we chcek it for stability? Use IntelBurnTest 2.3 for stability test. I'm still testing mine for stability and its looking good so far. How low anyone else can go with RM-72? Please share. |

QUOTE(igmroey @ Aug 9 2009, 09:28 PM) Err... can nyone write a comprehensive quite 2 the K10 stat tool ? I don't seem 2 really noe how to use it. That's normal bro, the CPU will throttle itself down for light load. That is why you have to set all three (P0, P1, P2) states instead of just P0.The voltage keeps going way under the one i set.... in p-state i just lowered it down a notch to 1.125..... but when i press refresh in debug, the voltage went down to 0.800. Then i just closed it. QUOTE(igmroey @ Aug 9 2009, 09:57 PM) So.... i jz wanna noe something.... After i do everything... ie set 1.0 volt for all the P states.....I click Apply Different P State have different Voltage requirement. That is why you need to run LinPack (for every stage of the voltage until you find the lowest stable value) to test the stability of the system before really commit to any voltage. In other word, you don't simply pluck the number (voltage) from the thin air.then i go and Enable Clock Function... After that i press Ok. Then its all set ? |

QUOTE(igmroey @ Aug 11 2009, 03:51 PM) No spade, thats not what i meant. The figures were just examples. I want to know, if we finished everything, then we press Apply. Then Enable clock function. Then exit the program. WILL IT TAKE EFFECT? Thats what i want to know. Because after exiting the program, then after i OPEN the prog again, the icon at the bottom right of the screen says K10 is still not enabled. Do we leave the whole thing open ? Once you apply (assuming you got it right) it will stick untill you reboot the pc (no need to keep open). After that you have to apply again......BUT, you can use the task manager to automatically launch the application every time you boot the pc. But using this method, you will have problem when u restart your pc, you will get a blank screen (issue with K10stat i guess). So if you want to restart, you have to shutdown and turn it on again instead. Not just press restart at windows. |
