i already tested many alternative application when the maps are not updated.

Imagine this ure lost in the CITY and it ask u to turn left when the road ure suppose to enter doesnt exist anymore.

COol share with us how accurate it is.
Use logic Garmin maps are updated by ppl donating POI and updating location to mappers.

example ndrive who update their maps from? their own malaysian team of mappers? I learned a lesson alternative got me even more lost.

Like I said, for those who are interested go ahead and install. The maps that most other apps aside from garmin are most probably the NT maps that were updated this March 2009.

Ok just to report to those who are interested:

Installed Ndrive and it works fine, the map contains more POI compared to Sygic so I am not sure if the map is the same. Graphics and interface are very nice and there is a nice British lady's voice that comes along with it. For more info on the product go to:

Yup, after updating thru FOTA (thanks to Slade for the tip), the phone applications n contacts all remain intact. The only difference I notice is the Breathing light. Was looking for this feature high n low. Now I really like my tube with it together with the Garmin.
Btw, how are we going to know whether it is the breathing or notification light if we set to breathe n notify.

both same? breathing light is the notification light

breathing light will light up the menu button once every 20 seconds

notification light will light up when there are event such as new msg , missed call or new mail depending on what u set. It will blink every 5 seconds or so

main difference between them is the blink pattern,
breathing light = 1 long pulse
notification light = 2 short pulse, very much like a heart beat (dup dup, dup dup .. )

While using my Garmin this am, there was a call and after answering it, the Garmin closed. I had to reactivate it again. Is it supposed to be like that or it will automatic comes on again.

act,im using garmin for my n85,when i accept a call,garmin auto minimize ler...no need to open it again

Then I removed the battery and put it in back.

Then On it, It boot up with the 'NOKIA" logo. Then turn off by itself again.
