KUALA LUMPUR: Mesdaq-listed Opcom Holdings Bhd has bagged a RM359 million two-year contract for the supply of passive fibre-to-the-home (FTTH) system to Telekom Malaysia Bhd .
This contract presumably relates to TM’s multi-billion high-speed broadband (HSBB) project.
The company, established in 1994 by Datuk Mukhriz (Mahathir's son) who is also the company’s chairman and managing director, received the letter of award from TM on Tuesday. Mukhriz, the Member of Parliament for Jerlun, Kedah, is now the deputy minister at the Ministry of International Trade and Industry.
For its nine months ended Dec 31, 2008, Opcom registered a 40% rise in net profit to RM5.5 million from RM3.9 million a year earlier.
The stock hit a 52-week high of 47.5 sen on Monday only to ease to 45 sen at the close yesterday. Its 52-week low of 27.5 sen was hit last October.

Current Price: RM0.58
Some other forum predicted this earlier coz they say its Mukhriz's company. They are right, OPCOM did get the tender. And they forecast it will hit RM1 because they will get another RM1mil contract. Anyone got any article on this? TP?
