Hey guys, i would like to get some help on my new fish tank. I've recently take up planted aquariums and i don't know what are the guide's to let the plants maintain and i have yet not decided on what fish to put into my tank. I heard you guys mentioning CO2, how do i place CO2 for my tank? And is water heater advisable ? This is a picture of my new fish tank. It's measurement is : 18 inch x 9 inch x 9 inch. Is my fish tank still able to put more plants? Or do i need to make it full & add the wooden log/branch? Pls guide me along my way to a new journey of planted aquarium. QUOTE(Human Nature @ Oct 24 2009, 12:48 PM) Hi, refer here for DIY CO2 : http://www.plantedtank.net/articles/DIY-Yeast-CO2/7/Those are moss, there are many types of them..mine is either java moss or singaporean moss. refer here for more info: http://www.aquamoss.net/. For leafty plants, anubias and those with rhizomes can be tied on driftwood to grow Hi bro, i have no idea on the plant ID..for easy to grow/maintain plant, i would suggest go for anubias..I have a DIY CO2 but I am not putting it inside my tank yet..i am assuming its not necesaary for simple low tech tank like mine.. Hey bro, how to fit in the DIY CO2? Channel to the bottom of the base of the tank? My filter is the standard cling on filter i don't know how to channel it with the DIY CO2. Can suggest? And regarding the moss, where can i get it in PJ ?

QUOTE(fongzai92 @ Oct 24 2009, 01:32 PM) Pj area ? Sunway mas 88.. Or ikano pet shop... About diy co2.. Just connect to the diffuser and put into tank will do... Added on October 24, 2009, 12:35 pmFertilizer.. Co2.. Water quality are factor to effect to a plant Need fertilizer wan arh? aiks.. i didnt know about that, the water is fine i'm using Diamond filtered water at the moment. Btw is it advisable to crowd the tank with alot of plants and a big wood? Cause i recently added in a wood and now it look very crowded plus adding in java moss at a particular spot of the wood. Does this mean i only can put in a very minimum number of fish only?

Hi, nice looking slim tank you have there..mind showing the full photo of it as a whole? It looks smaller than 18 inch x 9 inch x 9 inch. Whats the cost? Thanks Okay erm sry i dont have the time to post up the picture, but that picture is a close-up picture thats why. I recently just have been busy so dont think will upload the photo so soon but i'll share with u some other time okay. As for the cost of the tank, i got it from Jusco. Includes cling-on water filter + gravel (sand) + cleaning kit + lightning + the tank @ RM 250++. Actually you can get this aquarium cheaper from those aquarium shops whereby they can customize according to the size or shape you want but may cost a lil bit more expensive depends on thickness of the glass. P/S: will update you with my full photo ASAP. i got no time and my plants like dying havent put in my own DIY CO2. This post has been edited by FreedomForLife25: Oct 28 2009, 01:46 AM
