you know what foxngn bro, i alwayas admire your low-tech tank since the first time i saw that pic in MAC. I always wanted to have a low tech tank that is big enuf like that so i can use for shrimp and at the same time the tank looks nice. huhuhu~!!!
*
Thanks for the compliment. tongue.gif
Yeah, my tank is very small only, 2.5ft..But good enough if just use it for shrimp-only tank.

I'm very like to use moss as a carpet plant, as i think they looks pretty, although some might think different.
Actually i tot of want to make a big turn over for my tank, changes the substrate, re-arrange the whole tank.
But it will takes a lot's of work, & also not to mentioned transferring the life stock, especially those shrimp.

So, i might just leave it as currently, wait til the time is suitable, then only i will do the big turn-over.

That's a nice tank, looks very Zen with that little shrine and light green coloured plants.  nod.gif
I sure wish you wouldn't tear that away  sad.gif
*
Well, i don't think i will tear down so fast.. i will still want to keep the way it looks, but might just remove the shrine & replace its with rocks. smile.gif

The only down point to the tank is that my house only got 1 place to put the tank, & the place you can only view 80% of the tank, which is what you view it now. sweat.gif

Sifu Foxngn notworthy.gif will that neon tetra harm those shrimp ?is that RCS ?
*
seriously, im no sifu, still newbie. biggrin.gif
I got bee shrimp[ which hardly seen], tiger shrimp & cherry shrimp.
yes, anything fit in to a fish mouth, they will eat it. perhaps shrimplet.
That's why i got massive moss & big plants with big leaf around for them to have a hideout.

thats the real situation,not lighting.
the fin part looks a bit destroyed, resulting in unstable movement in water..
*
I got 2 kind of black neon tetra also had some injuries, 1 of them i bought is already like that, its gills had a bit torned reveal the inner flesh, still survived.

Another one, last time the whole body stuck inside a plastic mesh, manage to pull it out, but its get injures in the middle of the body leaving a mark there, still survived.

I think maybe you can try to keep monitor it first until its fin is recover, see does it still swimming unstable
